Comic description

"Just Peachy" is a cheeky serial comic strip featuring a small college town's generation of college alums who aren't giving up and growing old without a fight. Kids: don't let your parents fool you, this is exactly how they behave when they think you're not looking. Parents: don't try to act all dignified and deny it. Liar, liar, pants on fire. In fact, you're probably worse than this.

I write a science fantasy series, "Flight of the Armada" in which a version of these comics characters appear, starting in Book Three. There are occasional references to it throughout the strip. I also write young adult fiction and Southern humor essays, plus produce the Just Peachy comic. Most of all... I collect anything to do with goats. Yeah that's kind of random but hey, you asked.

Sorry for the schedule break, but hey. Things have to be done. Check this Sunday for a new color funnie, and hopefully Monday we'll start up a daily B&Ws again.

I was asked recently why I only color a few comics. My reply was that I do the standard weekday b&w strips with a Sunday color double strip. I asked myself Why? Why not color everything since I spend so much time grayshading anyway?
I like color, I just don't know if I can keep up the pace. I guess we'll see, huh?

I'm old school in that I try to follow the traditional strip comic format of six black and white dailies and a color Sunday panel. I know it's a moot point for a webcomic, but if I colored them all, I'd be tempted to dawdle and not stick to a deadline. Which, of course, I probably won't make today because the next comic is still half-inked on the drawing table. Maybe I need to re-think this coloring notion, huh? ;)
