Comic description

Suicidal immortal superheroine Kathryn "Artemis" Kennedy is haunted by a millennium of death and her failure to save her lover, family, and friends. In new friend NYPD Detective Erica Richards and new squire Julia (a faerie princess beginning a new life as a human), Kathryn again finds reasons to live... just as she finally finds a way to die.

Compare me to the mass of the universe, and I mathematically cease to exist. But I write and draw comics anyway. Screw you, giant universe.

At first it was a lark, but then it really clicked as a big important series of character moments. The nitpicker in me has always been annoyed at covers which don't really fit perfectly into the narrative they represent, because then we're looking at a mini-poster which is mildly disconnected from the story's action.Because of this, I really enjoy utilizing my cover art directly in the story's pages. So far, the only covers I've made for SCP which didn't subsequently appear in their issues are the covers to #1 and #4 (but they both fit squarely into the narratives). The "finished" script I wrote for this page contained a funny bit where Kathryn asks Julia to make her short skirt longer, but I ran out of room -- this is 11 panels, and including everything I wrote would have brought it up to 15 panels (even I think that's too many). This page took a lot more finessing to get right than I expected; turning one image into 11 in a way I felt was compelling enough to bother with -- and then lettering the damn thing with a fresh ephithet for the bloody Welsh -- took about 2.5 days.I was really hoping it'd be a little quicker so I could have ANOTHER new page up by Saturday, but... let's say, Monday? Ish?(I'll run a cool fanart on Monday if I'm not done with page 7 by then.)Soup sock,-Caley Tibbittz Collopy

You jest, but I almost went with Ronin Princess Kill-Kill... which is probably what this comic will be called in Japan.
