Comic description

Despite all their efforts, the voice doesn’t respond, or give any sort of sign that Mariya, Klara, and Nina’s messages were even heard.

Before Nina was distracted, she was going to look around the room to see if they’d missed anything, and before Mariya was interrupted, she was bending the clothes hanger into a more useful shape. When Nina asked to talk, Klara had the idea to search the speaker for a button. Should they stick with these plans?

It’s been horrible here… Nina knows she’s not a very brave person, and ever since she got here, she’s had no idea how to even keep it together. But… she has her friends by her side, and even when she was weak, they didn’t leave her. The girl on the speaker doesn’t even have that. I need to be strong, Nina tells herself. I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I need to be strong. And… I need to help her be strong, too.
