Comic description
Twins Amy and Kay are not normal: Amy chooses to be "blind" by removing her glasses whenever possible, and Kay chooses to be "deaf" by wearing headphones whenever she can. They have lived like this for seven years, and they're used to the weird looks and gossip. However, everything changes when a new student named Zack appears. Zack chooses to be "mute" by never speaking, and soon the three are forced to confront the events that made them become this way. It won't just be hard, though: it will be downright dangerous...
This comic is classified as a drama, but in reality it's more of a mystery with a small supernatural twist.

The thing is, it's my senior year.
I'm graduating on May 23rd, and that leaves me with less than a month until I have to leave this school forever. Call me strange, but I actually like my school. I want to make the most of the time I have left, so... I'm taking the rest of the school year off.
For some reason, I mostly draw this comic during art class, which I have four days a week and is about 50 minutes long. Usually I'll start a new comic on Friday, work on it until Wednesday, and then usually the work will extend into a little bit of yearbook club (which I have Wednesday), and finish it up at home. To be honest, Three Little Monkeys is a pretty big project and is going to be pretty long; I think I may have jumped the gun when I made it my very first comic. I want to use the few remaining art classes to work on my art in general, and if I'm not working on a self-imposed deadline, I can experiment more with my tablet and hopefully become faster (and neater!).
I hope you guys understand! I have to be honest, though: I'm not sure when this will come back. For whatever reason, I just don't draw at home. I always just draw at school. :/ However, I'll force myself to at least finish the first chapter over the summer since there are only about five pages left. I also want to try to build a buffer before I come back. At worst, I'll finish the first chapter and turn the rest of Three Little Monkeys into a novel. I've been seriously considering writing a novel version anyway (with a few differences from the comic, such as more characters and a different culprit). It's a very important story to me.
Thanks for following this story so far, everyone! Three Little Monkeys is the first comic I've made with an actual plot and thus very important to me, so I appreciate everyone who reads this, even if no one comments. I know some people just don't comment on comics, so thanks for your support! ^_^

Also, there will be a special announcement later today... Not sure if it's necessarily good, though.

To start off, we get to meet a new character: Robin! Robin is Kay's best friend and fellow fashionista. They've been heading fashion trends together since first grade. (Fun fact: her shirt was actually made by Kay. ^_^)
Along with this, you may notice that Robin speaks with quotation marks after the second panel. This is because Kay isn't actually hearing her, but is instead reading her lips. After she started wearing headphones 24/7, Kay learned to read lips so she wouldn't have to remove them. However, she has to actually be looking at someone for it to work, hence Robin's action in the second panel.
On that note, she also has incredible eyesight that allows her to see things at a distance pretty well. It's not exactly shown (it was before I merged the pages), but Kay's on the opposite side of the room from Amy, and has been following Amy's half of the conversation.
As for everything else... well, I'll leave that up to the readers. Anyways, that's all for now. I'll warn you guys now: I may not be able to finish the next page by Wednesday, and might have to wait until Friday to post it. ...Yeah. Sorry about that. -_-;

This page features two notable things:
1) Kay's headphones have changed slightly again. I still can't get the hang of headphones. :P
2) There's an epic eye in the second panel.
I'm particularly proud of panel two and spent most of today and yesterday's art classes working on it. It was a lot of fun to do, and took several layers. I'm pleased with the result, though I'm still iffy on the eyelashes being blond... I did it on a whim after making the background of that panel and realizing the black eyelashes didn't show up well. Oh well. Live and learn, I guess.

Except some of you may not even acknowledge this as "late". I haven't really stated a schedule. For the record, I try to upload pages every Wednesday if possible, around 7 PM EST. The irony is that I actually finished this page yesterday and just forgot to upload it. >_> SORRY TO ANY AND ALL READERS!!
Anyways, a little bit of background here: Zack prefers to communicate with either his cell phone or a sketchpad. He's faster at typing than writing, though, so he prefers to use his cell when possible. It really depends on who he's talking to.
This page also gives a vague hint to Amy's preference for not wearing glasses here, as well as Zack's preference for silence. These will gradually be expanded upon, but unfortunately, it's very gradual. >_> I'm trying to pick up the pace, but I don't want to rush things. Pacing is really tricky. >_<
