Robotwin.com:That looks pretty good! Might try kerning the "DUMPSVILLE" sign a little more because it almost reads "DU MPSVILLE."
Ok cool, I'll play with that!
Robotwin.com: It seems redundant to put the number "1" on there twice. Like maybe put the word "VOLUME" vertically inside the star next to the "1."
Yeah, Originally It said "VOL. ONE" but I figured in the future, if I want to stay with the same format, typing out lover number will make it be really squished.
I like the "1" being by itself in the circle, but I do want to see if I can come up with an alternative to "Volume 1" the way it is now.
Robotwin.com:Also the center-justified margins on the left column seem uneven, so I suggest resizing the text so all the left and right margins are perfectly aligned vertically. Additionally, I think you ought to include more characters on the cover, especially your bitches (female dogs)! And make Mad Dog bigger so it's clear which one he is.
Oh, It's moved over because of the trip line of the printer, When they cut it, it should look centered.
I was thinking of adding characters, like Dolly and Vibes and such, but I'm not sure where they could fit with out it looking cluttered.
And yea, I've been playing with MD and Spot's sizes. I mean they have the "M" and "S" on the collar, but it is a good idea to make MD slightly bigger.
[QUOTE=Robotwin.comAlso try putting a funny gag in a word balloon on the cover so it's obvious this is comics--I don't think you need to write "A WEB COMIC BY" on there because it's technically not a web comic if it's in print.[/QUOTE]
Oh, both of these issues should be resolved with the back cover. Because I want to have a joke on the back of MD and Spot talking that goes like this:
MD: Haha, why would anyone buy this book if they could just read it online for free?
SPOT: Mad dog, SHUT UP!
What do you think? Or should I just have it say "A comic by Looey Q" and leave out the pun about reading it online for free? :)
