"Of course not! It was an elaborate ruse. You see, Rollo... You have to die."
Rollo gasps, and backs away from the rest of the mafia. "This... this doesn't even make sense! You can't do this!"
"Apparently we can."
Rollo-san is found in the town square in the morning, with a sign around his neck: "Let this be a lesson to all."
The town remains confused as to what lesson, exactly, that might be.
It also seems that a pile of gifts has turned up outside of CynicaIdealist's house. He excitedly opens one, only to reveal a bream.
"That seems to be a fish." Sivrus wisely muses, having returned from his mysterious disappearance. "Perhaps you received them as some kind of gift, for catching out a mafia."
Cynic looks at the fish, then back to Sivrus. "Yeah, but wouldn't Orangelink have got some too? ...Where is he, anyway?"
Congratulations, town! Rollo has been killed! He was the mafia-aligned Sailor Jupiter! Sivrus has returned and can vote and use role actions again! (Clarification: All of the disappearances so far have gone for exactly two phases; I've been mildly unclear about this, sorry) Orangelink is missing! He cannot vote today or use any role actions he might have the next night. CynicaIdealist has received a pile of gift-wrapped fish!
You also realise that the Guardian had the power to ensure a kill went through.
TheOneBlueGecko:@MattyHost I have one specific question so far, kind of a boring question, but the person that has kidnapped people held nightsky and sivrus for two phases but only apparently held kojiru for one. Is this correct?
Incorrect. They were all held for one day phase and one night phase. I may have forgotten to post that Kojiru was roleblocked the second phase he was held, if that's what you mean (in which case, whoops)
TheOneBlueGecko:Just pretend you don't know you are dead, Nama. Vote, send in role PMs if you had a role that had you do that...I am sure that Matt would never notice.
TheOneBlueGecko:Here MattyHost you should answer this question as well, "Why have like 3 nights gone by that didn't have mafia kills? Was it a role? Is the mafia inept? Is there really no mafia and this is all a dream? Are you just going to answer this whole thing with a yes or a no? Why doesn't anyone else ask questions? Am I all alone?"
Sure. Game reasons, maybe, maybe, maybe, no, see next, yes.
Kojiru:There could be a variety of ingame role reasons or mafia reasons. Matt doesn't have to divulge them as the host. That would ruin the fun. :P
Happy to answer more role questions if you guys have any.
CynicaIdealist:EDIT THE SECOND: God damn, I wish I could capture the smug that's emanating off of me; if I could, I could probably fuel a small city with energy provided. XD (This is, of course, a joke. . . I could probably fuel the entire eastern seaboard with this much smug. *rimshot*)
oh no, we've made a terrible mistake
the smug is getting to him
what do we do
there's nothing we can do!
no, shut up! don't lose hope!
it's... it's too late for him
no, it's not too late! it's never too late, damn it!
come on, before you get smugged yourself
no, leave me. I can deal with it. I am the king of all smug.
"Ohohoho!" says Rollo. "I've got you now, mafia talker."
"What?" Sivrus utters. "I don't... What?"
Votes pile up on Rollo, until Cynic calls out. "Guys, let's kill Spaces instead."
"I agree wholeheartedly." Orangelink says. "I suggest you all do too."
"Woah, woah, woah." Spaces shouts, raising her hands. "I haven't ever hurt anyone."
"Jump, guys!" says Orangelink. Everyone jumps.
"You aren't dead yet." says TheOneBlueGecko. "The votes are still tied with Rollo!"
She gestures to the scoreboard displayed on the tree in the middle of town. Indeed, it clearly shows exactly what Gecko says:
Spaces looks at the board. The number next to her name ticks over.
Everyone looks at each other. Who voted?
The mystery voter does not speak up. The sun sinks below the horizon, and Spaces' doom is sealed.
"Heh, you guys are screwed anyway." she says, finding this turn of events rather amusing. "I'm the Guardian." She draws a large sword.
The voters gasp. They can't kill the Guardian...!
But the Guardian can kill them. Spaces lunges at Nightsky with the sword, the shapeshifting demon illegally shapeshifting into a shapeshifting demon with a Spaces-shaped hole in the middle of it. Spaces careens through the hole, stumbles, then turns to run at Francis. Francis ducks, dodging death yet again. Spaces turns again, looking at the town.
"You... you're all doomed. You're doomed! Doomed! Ahahahahah!"
Suddenly, she falls down, onto her sword.
"Seems like you're the one who's doomed." says Kojiru, having kicked Spaces' legs out form under her as she talked.
Congratulations, town! You've finally killed a mafia!
Spaces was the mafia-aligned Guardian! Sivrus is missing and may not use any role actions he may have tonight!
"Koji-doodle-doo!" cries Kojiru, signalling the start of a new day.
The town feels, however, a little less wise. Sivrus is missing.
DaMoreFishy appears in the town square holding a trout. "This is... ironic." she mutters.
Kojiru has been released and may vote again and use night actions again. Sivrus is missing and may not vote today or use any role actions he may have the next night! DaMoreFishy has received a special delivery of fish! Nobody died last night!
The town also finds a magnifying glass and detective hat in the house of the Gator Tot... along with several Sherlock Holmes novels, some crime fiction comics, and a poster of Benedict Cumberbatch. It seems the Gator Tot was a fan of detectives, and may have even been deluded enough to think they were one.
