Well, hi, I'm Hammy. I've had a comic for ages now, but have never really posted on the forums. So, hey, I'm the author of A day in the Life. So, hey.

Cyborg_572:Although that works, it was more just a quick solution for using the paintbucket tool to colour in a scaned image without getting little white dot's all over the edges. That actually makes the edges more jaged, so they fill better, then scaling it down smooths the edges back out a bit.

There are better ways to solve the problem of edges just being jagged though. And that problem seems to be gone in the computer generated stuff anyway. Your older comics could really use thicker lines though. I don't know if your scaling these down or using indexed colours at all, but if you're doing both then remember to scale down first, and then convert the colour mode. It looks a whole lot better.

Well, to be honest, I don't know a heck of a lot about graphic design. I use Paint.NET, and if anyone could suggest a tutorial which explains the more advanced tools of it, their help would be greatly appreciated. The underlined stuff in that quote, I'm afraid I don't really understand. The main problem seems to be the fact edges aren't blended sooo, a guide to that would be great!

I'll be releasing a strip a day for A day in the life, I have no characters, no location, no story, just a little gag every day. I'm not very far through with just 3 strips uploaded at the time of writing, with two to be released in the next two days. I hope someone checks it out!

Well, yeah. My characters are currently quite...plain. I was wondering if somebody could give a suggestion as to what I should do to make them better. A couple of my latest below.
