I'm expecting my 3ds to arrive next week (father's day/birthday gift). Been drooling over the store demos for months. Goint to have to find a flash cart though - acekard or R4. I use my DS as a book reader and iPod...and I do that WAY more than I use it for games.

Really looking forward to playing the new Mario Kart game though.

Mine look back to normal today...kinda. Got to get used to that diffrent interface, but at least that spike in the middle is gone and everything's easier to read.

MuggleMike:I've been reading Penny Arcade, PVP, and other webcomics for a long time. For me, I can experience something for only so long before I say to myself, "I can do that." It was the same way with music. Anyway, after I came up with my concept for my webcomic I Googled webcomic hosting and ComicFury was the absolute best hosting site. This site is kind of really amazing and I am very grateful for it. Do not take this for granted, people. ComicFury is a very special thing.

That pretty much sums it up for me too. I'd been reading wecomics for years and thinking "I could do this". CF was the best looking host out there.

I've been drawing comics in one form or another since I was in kindergarden. Seriously, I have stuff in the basement from as early as 1984.

Every time I see your avatar, I think it's a Farfetch'd.

Hee hee hee. Nope. Just a badly created 3d model I created in Bryce 5. I had to look up what a Farfetch'd was!

I was all about the business cards and doing fast free sketches. I printed out papers to do sketches on that read "Matthew Skelly ruined this perfectly good piece of paper by drawing..." and an arrow pointing at the sketch. It also had my website on it. Works like a business card.

I also created a small vending machine that took coins. Inside were teeny drawings in plastic bubbles. It was a draw with the kids.

Violent Blue has a soundtrack actually. Chloe herself is based on the songs "Chloe" by Spike's Big Adventure and "Sarah" by Scott Wenzel. The soundtrack also includes "Violent Blue" and "If It All Comes True" by Chagall Guevera, and "Should Have" by Skillet. Other songs come and go from the playlist, but that stuff is pretty consistent.

My two daughters and I hit five different stores (It'll be up on my blog tomorrow). No one was really stingy...the strictest one was York Comics where it was one of each comic for me and my girls as a group instead of one of each for each of us. We did get started late because of thier soccer games, and Northcoast Nostalga was out of stuff, but they were still nice enough to give the girls buttons. Two places gave them extra stuff because they were dressed up. It was a nice day. We made a point to buy something at every stop as well. It makes me feel like less of a punk...even if it's just two dollars worth of stuff from the bargan bins.
I skipped the midnight party that Carol and John's throws...it was too crowded last year. Still, we managed to get just about every comic on the FCBD list, along with some doubles that we were able to give to a little boy at our church who didn't get out to FCBD. The best part of the day was finding out that my favorite comic shop had reopened (it closed last year) and was now REALLY close to my house.

Hard to answer. A lot of my characters have features based on people I know, but they arn't really the characters. They kind of look like the characters but they don't really act like them - so putting an actor in their place would still feel weird because the actor may act like the character but they just won't look like the character.

I'll tell you this though, Acid T. Squirrel would be a puppet, not CG. Like Salem on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

I kind of do it...but they are part of the gag. Taylor Likes Moon Mist -it's a real drink - so when you see him at the kitchen table he's got a can of moon mist there. We reference it once in a while for a gag "You better have more in that refrigirator thant that stupid Moon Mist!". Chloe constantly blurts out obscure movies....

There's a couple things I know about the characters that's never made it into the series, but it was always meant to....

I downloaded too many movies on my broadband connection and don't have time to watch them all, what with all the sex I'm having with my smoking hot wife.

And it was veal for dinner AGAIN.

It's funnier in print where you can see the pun.

You know, I think if there's a line she doesn't want you to cross she should let you know. My wife would give me a flat stare and tell me "That's not funny" and it would be over.

Of course I married a man in a woman's body, so it might not be as easy for everyone.

When I'm trying to be neat, my handwriting starts off looking like a first graders, then devolves in to illegibility. That's a big reason I don't hand letter. The other reason is speed. Font's are just a whole lot quicker, especially considering some of the characters speak in different fonts (for example, the squirrel talks in a different font from the humans. It actually affects how I perceive his voice)

My wife does it at midnight. I stay home and sleep, then I get up with the girls and we watch zombie movies all morning.

I've got a half size pinball machine in my Library. I love it. I also built a MAME cabinet. Playing arcade games using MAME isn't nearly as bad when you're doing it on an old arcade cabinet. The real problem is that my 5-year-old has just started beating me at most fighting games.

for like 5 minutes i couldn't work out how to get rid of the characters boobies. :I

Me too.

Anyhow, here's mine. It'd be a little closer if they had fedoras as an option, but I like it. The earbuds are plugged into my DS (offscreen)
