A year or two ago I made a handfull of A5 size comics called Tales Of Randomness- they were by me, were sort of mock-superhero stories (and not all that good) anyhow I'm thinking of doing some more and would like contributors.

More details to follow shortly!

Hi; it's me, KingRandom, using the new account I made for this projecty-ma-bob.
As promised more details:

Plan:
What's the big idea?:Tales Of Randomness will be an A5 sized monthly comic magazine consisting of several strips by various artists and published by the "Ramshackle Press".

How will it be distributed?:All contributions will be submitted to me via e-mail, I will then assemble the magazine on the computer and e-mail a PDF version to all who have contributed, they can then print and sell it however they want (the act of printing and selling means they can call themselves part of the Ramshackle Press if they so wish).
For a fancy diagram click the

How do I contribute? What can I contribute?:Pretty much anything is acceptable (English language please) so long as it fits the page (i.e. is, or can be reduced to, about A5) really long stories will be made into a series. It can be from your webcomic or it can be entirely original, you can have a series if you so wish, with continuity- or without. There is no requirement for commitment- you do not have to contribute every issue, you can only contribute the once if you like. I reserve the right, as editor, to choose what goes in and what doesn't- though, depending on the success of this venture, I would like to make it more of a collective decision amongst regular contributors later.
Contributions can be sent by email to ramshacklepress@ymail.com, befor doing so please express your interest here.

When's the first issue?:as soon as there's a decent number of contributions!

What's in it for me?:
-It's another outlet for your artistic brilliance.
-Free advertising for your webcomic!
-It's sometimes nice just to see your work on paper!
-MONEY! --you get to keep all the profit from your sales.

More questions?:Ask them here in this thread or by emailing ramshacklepress@ymail.com or

A5 doesn't fit my comic unless it was greatly reduced I think.

I'm interested in this project. I do have a few questions;

Content. Is there a particular rating your looking for? G, PG, NSFW, that sort of thing.

Will this be a monthly publication? bi-weekly? quarterly?

Color or black and white? The type of work I do really doesn't work well in black and white.

I'm actually really excited by the idea of this. I've been working on my latest project with the intent of going to print, however did not see it as something that could stand well alone.

I have a metric ton of homework due this week, however once I get a free minute I'd love to discuss this in further detail!

This sounds like it'd be a nice distraction from Fathead. I could totally contribute some comics if you wanted.

It will be Monthly. Content wise: nothing too extreme/explicit, but pretty much anything goes. Colour, for sure (though contributors with black and white strips won't be forced to colour them)

As an admirer of your work I would be honoured.

moizmad:A5 doesn't fit my comic unless it was greatly reduced I think.

Looking at Riddick Q it looks like it would fit (perhaps with a little jiggery pokery) if you cut a strip in half vertically and put one half on top of the other.

edit:
KingRandom::
It will be Monthly. Content wise: nothing too extreme/explicit, but pretty much anything goes.

To further clarify:

Things mostly censored are sex, violence and strong language, I will deal with each in turn.

Sex:
OK, if depicted um... tastefully and not just for the sheer hell of it- if it seems to be essentially porn it won't go in.

Violence:
I don't like violence much. Some, if it works in the context of the story- if it's there for the sheer blood-spattered hell of it- I won't put it in the mag.

Strong Language:
Swear and curse as much as you fucking like.

Also opinionated-ness:
Extreme opinions, especially those of a prjudiced or discriminatory nature (racism, homophobia an' that) will not be tolerated. A character can have these views, but they should not be seen to be the views of the mag or to be a view we suggest the readers should have. (Right-wing politics is frowned upon)

Yow,

This seems like it could be a lot of fun and I'd be interested in submitting some scripts and stuff. If it's acceptable for just a writer to contribute, then purrlease get in touch with me.

Either PM me on here or email me: alex_w_101@hotmail.com

Thanks!

This sounds interesting. You'd have to glance at my stuff and see if it'd fit in A5. (A5?) Or if it fits your tastes.

If you'd be so kind, take a look at headwound and PM me if the content is beyond what you are looking for as far as violence/nudity. Headwound is in no way a webcomic porno, however I have used nudity, strong language and violence.

I've decided not to use HeadWound. No content review will be necessary.

I also have a few ideas I'd like to draft up that are considerably mild(er) than my current comic.

I guess it really depends on which artists you get on board. If most of your strips end up being gag a day, then I'd work on something fitting to the other artists.

I'm thrilled to see Fastbro interested. If you could land Machinehead from the webcomic Cowtown, I'd be stoked.

It may be a while before we can actually get our comic started, so do you have any estimate of how long it will be before your first publication? (It's fine if you don't know yet; I'm just wondering.)

Ok, I've decided I want to do a comic about shapes. (Although I may do some other stuff too) I whipped a comic just to show what it'll be like. :D

So I've been checking out the other folks who show interest in the project, and I'm seeing some great work.

I've also decided that I wont be attempting to use HeadWound for this. I'm torn between re-drawing Married Life strips for this project or creating something new. Any suggestions?
