Comic profiles and author profiles.

I reckon there should be at least some form of customisation for them. I don't mean stupid crap like backgrounds, I mean more like hiding the author description and stuff.

I don't particularly want my "about me" on my comic profile page; the two entities are separate. Likewise, I don't particularly want all of my comics on my user profile page. I'd be happy with just three of them there, without having to hide the rest of them from CF.

That "about me" section also comes up on the comic stats page for people who have less than 20 subs. While potentially helpful in identifying who people are, it can make the page unnecessarily bulky and really, if you want to know about them, you can just click through.

I am inclined to agree, yes. The user description is there because generally speaking, the "about me" blurbs are usually just a couple sentences, not the imagespam you have on yours. It's filler information to make the page look less blank.
I generally like having that information there. You get a chance to read about the individual authors (example of good execution of that here). Maybe I ought to add some "your author description" thing, so that you can overwrite the default with a comic-taylored one. Would that make you happy?

As for the user profiles, I think I can make you happy with that too.
