Since there are "movies you've watched recently" & "top 15 animated films" threads, I figured I'd start a "Movies we're looking forward to seeing" thread ... basically because I just heard about this yesterday:
I love the anime series of Rurouni Kenshin and only heard about this live-action adaption because I was listening to Bonnie Pink's song "It's Gonna Rain" on YouTube, when I saw a link to the trailer. There's a second trailer at the movie's official site. I want to see this movie NOW.
The only other movies I'm this interested in seeing this year are The Avengers ... and Iron Sky.
I am looking forward to The Hobbit most of all. I plan to see the Avengers, Batman, Jack the Giant Killer, and Snow White and the Huntsman as well. My friends gave me an AMC movie card with $50.00 for my birthday, and the early shows are $5.00, so Im all set =D
Keep on Stripping! (Updating! you pack of dirty dirties!)
I never go to the movies anymore, not when I can rent it for 1$ a few months later and not have someones shitty kid gibbering and kicking my seat.
Plus, you don't have to pay $10 for one stinking bottle of water.
I guess I would have to say The Hunger Games. I've read the first book (finished it again last week) and I'm reading the rest of the series now even though it's likely it will be at least another two years before the second movie is even in theaters.
The top on my list includes, The Hobbit, Hunger Games(Hopefully they'll actually make a good movie off of it?), Avengers, next Batman, Abraham Lincon: Vampire Hunter, John Carter, Brave, Despicable Me 2, Captain America 2, among others...
They're just movies I would like to see, but probably won't.
