Okay It's been a pretty stupid thing to talk about.
But since we are all humans we are allowed to do stupid things
Therefore I'll do it too.
So you're trying to compare Aya to Sonic?

Let's give little detail about both characters:
Aya shameimaru - Crow Tengu, hosting her own newspaper "Bunbun-maru".
Sonic The Hedgehog - Blue, Anthropomorphic Hedgehog.

So now to the main subject:
I'll go first with Aya since I'm a fan of Touhou myself. (has nothing to do with what I say)

In some fandom Aya is said to be super fast, without mentioning numbers. In offical visual novels like "The Grimoire Of Marisa", Marisa wrote there "Moving at this kind of speed without any doping, she really can do anything."
In the unoffical game "Touhou Soccer 1&2" Aya in one of her special abilities pictured herself kicking a soccer-ball midair. Fast enough to both kick the ball and picture herself doing so.
Aya also has the ability to manipulate wind, which makes her even FASTER while flying.
In the offical profile of her, ZUN wrote that she can move at 1/3 of the light speed- that without useing her power of manipulation of wind.


Now for Sonic:

In all of Sonic's games, he can run super fast. in some games there is even a bar that measures his current speed. In one game of him it stated that he can outrun the speed of sound by normally running like he always do. In another game he said that the speed of lighting is a piece of cake, not a challenge - that WHILE useing his rings/chaos emeralds.
Also, Sonic said he can travel between continents in a few moments. In some OTHER game he travels back in time but it wasn't said if he used his own speed or was it a time matchine.
Sonic was able to easly pass the speed of light but only when he used the chaos emeralds.


In sum
Sonic may be as fast as Aya, but Aya can surely outrun him if she really wants to, and that by useing her abilities. on the other hand, Sonic can do so as well but only if he has his rings or chaos emeralds. Sonic may not be able to be fast enough without the help of these things while Aya is naturally that fast. Also, it can be easly be told that Aya FLY fast and Sonic RUN fast.

Bottom line - Sonic is fastest on ground, Aya is fastest midair.

I'm sorry, but it seems that you came to the conclusion that I was upset with how this thread has been tangented. I actually was highly ammused at how that went. I've been part of CF for well over 2 years now, and I'll be honest, I knew from the moment that I made this thread that odds were, it wasn't going to keep to the topic of how fast characters were. Heck, when I did the event mentioned in the first post of the thread I knew I was doing something that was going to get me yelled at. I do these things because I do them in a way that I have very little to lose, and a lot of ammusement to gain. Well, that, and because Sonic is faster than Aya.
