The group watched out the window as the sun began to set over the horizon, the decision as to who would die still not reached.
"We'd better figure something out soon, he'll be back before long. Anyone wanna volunteer?" Anti asked.
A few looked over at him. "No-one's going to-"
"Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!" Lee interrupted, jumping around and waving her arms.
Sleepy giggled at her show of excitement. "She's mad you know, you won't believe some of the things I've heard about her… but, I guess if she's volunteering…"
Nightsky looked over at the horse, still standing in front of the door. It hadn't moved the entire time. "You know, if they want someone to die, we could just kill this thing."
The group looked at the horse. The horse glared back. "On second thoughts, lets just give him Lee. She's obviously just an idiot anyways." Sleepy remarked.
It wasn't long before the horse led them back to the main chamber. The monk stood in front of them, an array of curved, wicked daggers set before him on the altar.
"Have you made your choice?"
Lee skipped forward, whistling about her impending death. She provided a perfect match to the odd monk, still grinning despite the grim task he would soon have to fulfil.
"The gods will be pleased, and you shall all get your rewards. Even you, Lee."
He gestured for her to lie down on the altar, offering a small prayer to some unseen god before bringing down a blade in a sweeping arc, slicing her throat. Blood poured out, pooling on the altar, spattering over the grinning mans robes.
Nightsky, having turned away from the gruesome scene, turned back. "Are we done here? Today, we've killed a person. It should have been that damn horse."
"You have done well, and once again; I am sorry. There was simply no other way." The sadness in his voice was betrayed by the smile on his face, that ever-present, sickening grin. "My assistant will take you to your rooms, and you may find that tonight is a bit more… special than your old life. Sleep well, and do not fear them." He left suddenly, leaving the shocked and confused group to wonder what he meant.
One by one, they filed out behind the horse.
Lee was a
wizardly villager! Her ~SPECIAL~ trait allowed her to inflict random flavour curses on targets of her choosing.
It is now the
night phase. Actions in if you wanna use them people
Note: She may have been an idiot, but she was not the idiot. The idiot role is dumb.
