YES! I was bumping up against that limit a couple of times (only by a few KB). I should be JUST DANDY from here on out.

if your pages are around 2mb, they are too big. Generally unless your comic is all vectors and no gradients, 98% quality jpeg will look identical to the human eye and be fractions in size, which of course also improves load times and makes people with cellphone connections tolerate your webcomic more.
I really don't recommend exceeding even 1mb in comic page size, the reason I upped the limit was that someone was having problems with transparent pages (i.e. pages that needed to be png)
So people, try jpeg!

THREE MB?! What sort of broadband do they expect people to have to read that image quickly? Golly, I try and keep my images to below 200 kb.

Sivrus:Perhaps for comic pages there could be a height-width ratio based limit. Like, 10:1 to 5:5 to 1:10?
wut ?
i'm glag theres no limit to lenght cuz i made some pretty long pages before , but still kept them around 500k

why would we add an arbitrary restriction on what people are allowed to put up? How would this do anything other than inconveniencing people?

It doesn't have to be as inconvinient as I stated. Just to the point where it'll stop huge pages that are three times the size of a computer screen.

what does that in any way have to do with ratios?
Besides, if people want to put up huge pages, why not let them? I don't understand what taking creative control from people would do to improve the service.
