could it be possible to make it go to making a url of the image so that if a stream of images is posted within one post or if a quote is quoted multiple times, that the image is not lost track of?

not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I thought it was.

I would like this as well, if it is something that is possible.

I understand not having the image show up automatically in quotes (as that takes up so much space) but sometimes people quote things with images from far before and it can be quite difficult to flip through everything to find out what picture they are talking about.

Or it automatically spoilers the image, so you don't have to click a link.

both of these solutions will only work if the image isn't already part of a link, that's the main reason I didn't do that. I'd have to write some sort of code if a URL tag was started, but not ended, prior to the image. I might do that, but it's not just the matter of changing a single line of code in two seconds.
