Yesterday as I was driving to my friend's house, I saw the lady in the car next to me eat something out of a box. By that I mean that she tipped the box upside-down, pouring the contents into her mouth. "Mmm," I thought to myself. "I bet whatever she's eating is tasty. Must be candy or something." I glanced right, as we were both stopped at a red light. It was a box of Cornstarch.

What.

So my question to you is...What weird things have you seen people in other cars doing out there on the roads?

Something I never understood: People who are able to put on make-up while driving. I saw some people do that I think. Not even on the passenger seat, they were doing it while driving.

I know what you mean. I've put foundation on while driving, but it's that sheer mineral powder stuff that's barely there anyway and doesn't require me to actually look at what I'm doing (in terms of putting on the makeup, not in terms of driving). So at that point, I'm just brushing my face with this teeny little brush and still watching the road. I only did it on the long, straight sections of road.

But yeah, the eyeshadow/mascera/lip stuff I have no idea how people do that. Or what they're thinking.

Sometimes on those long, sad, lonely lengths of highway I like to relax by... Wait you said other cars.

Well one thing I will say is it is amazing how difficult it seems to be for everyone else to drive between the lines. It's a difficult concept I know. I've also seen eating with two hands and steering with knees but that's nothing extraordinary. A pretty girl mooned me from a stretch limo a couple weeks ago, wasn't sure exactly what to think of that.

All in all pretty normal stuff though.

Two things:

1.I have seen someone with a goat in their passenger seat. It was strapped in and sitting upright and it was adorable.

2. and people talking to themselves in the car, so much that you actually think they have a phone hidden somewhere, but they don't, they're just really enjoying that conversation with themself.

I am actually one of those people.

Actually cars have built in phones nowadays. But thanks for confirming your craziness. I'm sure you and Beth had a great conversation about the goat incident.

...no... like...

this is at red lights, where you can see into someone's car, and normally, when someone is having a bluetooth convo, there is a bunch of crazy shit going on on the dashboard, where there's usually a phone symbol, or the person may have their ear phones in, if you get what I mean. And also, this happens in old cars too, mostly with old people.

I keep thinking it's just where I live.

Or... it's just old people.

I saw someone using their steering wheel as a kind of table for their fast food the other day. O_o It was a little distressing.

I have been informed by people who see me driving that I apparently rock out in my car quite amusingly.

The following is a completely true story:

One time, I showed up at a school where I was teaching a class (this class was fortunately only the next town over – I sometimes got sent over an hour out), and have to get a janitor to let me in to a locked classroom.

As he's walking with me to the room, he pauses and asks if I drive a little red car.

I answer I do, and he then asks if he might have seen me driving in [my town] the day before.

I answer that yes, I work and live in that town, so there's a chance he saw me.

He then grins and asks if I was the girl he saw dancing at a stop light to the Dropkick Murphys.

"Yeah. That was /definitely/ me."

I think I made the dude's day. And I will never be able to teach in that school again with my dignity. >>

When we were selling our last sheep, some guy said he'd come pick up one of the young ram. We expected him to have a truck with a box or something. But he just came with a car and put the ram in the back...

Welp, during my travels in Missouri i Did find something really weird and disgusting:

"I saw several people smoking while driving with closed windows"

I was shocked of why someone would do that, I mean I know some people smoke inside their cars (specially in winters) but that´s the point, It was summer...And some of those cars even had (thankfully) empty baby seats. I didn't even want to imagine the awful smell those cars must have, that can't be a healthy environment for a baby (or for anyone)

I've tried and tried to moon and flip someone off at the same time, while driving. It's just too damn hard. I can do it if the car is stopped, but by then the car I want to flip off and moon has sped away.

So in similarity to Fool's goat story, my friends brought three alpacas down from Maine to Rhode Island in the back of their Ford Focus. Granted they were still young, but still, medium sized alpacas in the backseat of a relatively tiny car for a three state crossing ride.

That and once when I was seven me and two guys across from us waiting to get out of the mall parking lot made gang signs and just went back and forth trying to be as straight up gangster as we could. I was a rebel child I suppose, or maybe I just had this idea I could be cooler than I really was.

Also, padiddle to the extreme.

EDIT:

One more, recent, story. On the bus back from six flags a couple weeks ago I made a sign that said "honk if you're horny" which I just thought would be funny to see if anyone honked. I then considered what this meant. This meant that someone, willingly knowing that this bus read "Chariho High School" on the side of it and knew that this would be a group of high schoolers that would be their "entertainers". That's a little disturbing to think of if anyone had honked. Luckily it was too dark and I came to the realization of the fact that it was more than a joke it was some creeps who might decide to honk at us for the little girls. ._.

I've seen plenty of people with dogs sitting on their laps, and I also see a bunch of dogs sitting in people's cars...in the winter and summer...with the car off, so the dogs are either freezing to death or roasting to death.

A lot of people driving with books or papers on the steering wheel reading or writing. And not on a freeway or something, no on a normal streets with lights.

I had one vaguely traumatic experience in high school on a school trip in a school bus, when we looked out the window and down at the car next to us to noticed the man driving the car was doing something quite inappropriate to do in public while waiting at the light.

Maximum amount of dogs I've seen in a car was 6...

years ago i was on a school trip riding through the desolate saskatchewan countryside when we come upon another car driving about 20 MPH down the highway. we follow behind for a little while, trying to figure out why someone would be driving so slow with no success. we eventually pass by and see an old man reading a magazine and eating something off a plate in the passenger seat (not like finger food, he was using a knife and fork). we drive alongside him for a little bit, watching in amazement and horror as he turned around to talk to his dog in the back seat. i realize it was a pretty empty country highway, but still it seems really dangerous.

lol. That is kind of funny. I would've been so pissed if I was riving behind that man.
