Comic Fury Webcomic Hosting - I never actually said hello here... sorry...

I'm not sure if introductions are a thing here or not.
I probably should have found out sooner.
My tendency to act first and then check the rules / standards / etc later has got me banned from quite a few places before. Not so fun. I don't really want to get banned from more places, but it just keeps happening and I never want to hurt anyone...
Also I forget things easily because my brain can't filter information properly.

Anyway... Um... I'm just a guy who can't do anything right.
I have a webcomic here (Tiid-Ahraan), but I just write it.
I've got help from another guy to do the drawing, because I pretty much can't... and if I tried to do anything too hard, I'd just give up on account of my results never being worth the effort I put into them.

Got a rather obnoxious personality. Sorry.
Not sure precisely what is obnoxious about it, but people end up annoyed at me pretty quickly. Tell me I'm whiny... though I always thought that necessitated a certain vocal tonality that doesn't really exist in the medium of text.
I dunno.
Probably just because negativity is pretty much my thing by this stage.

Obnoxious? No sweat, I'm a giant douche! We all fit in around here.

Well... you say that now... but the outcome always ends up going one of two ways:

#1. "Good" End: I get flat-out ignored until I just lose interest and go away.
#2. "Bad" End: I get banned because I annoyed everyone.

I've pretty much resigned myself to those sorts of things. Just try to make the most of it while it lasts. That is pretty much all I can do.


I probably could stop doing the things that annoy people for a while... but only for a while, and it always feels like I'm lying to myself if I do. That is the worst feeling. It is the one where I just have to go to sleep because I can't handle being awake with myself.



[Edit]: Also I do this thing when I first come to a place (online) where I just go and reply to one or more threads on every single board and several on one board in rapid succession... and it briefly looks like I've just gone hog-wild all over the place.... and then I feel really guilty about it, only to end up doing it again later. =(

My dear fellow, we have plenty here who do that regularly and don't even feel guilty, so please don't beat yourself up about it - we have plenty here who will do that for you too!

Our advice would be, take a tablespoon of cod liver oil daily and get plenty of fresh air - it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Give yourself a chance here and I think you'll find you're not quite as obnoxious as you think you are...and even if you turn out to be really obnoxious, there's something for everyone here!

It's funny...I'm gonna show my age here, but this reminds me of a HEPCATS gag, where the Judy character did a film and put her name all over the credits (which was obnoxious) and showed her film to critics. The film critics sat there with sunglasses on and said "Oooh, she blew her credibility in the first 30 seconds!" See, it's not THAT bad. :)

Yeah, no need to stress out. We are pretty easy going most days, and for those bad days we have a venting thread to blow out your engines on.

Don't worry. You sound a LOT like me. What, with the whole 'act-first, check later' attitude, a ban or two, forgetting things easily, inability to do anything right, being a better writer than comic person, tendency to give up, obnoxious personality, feeling ignored and walking away, tendency to spam a lot, and even the feeling guilty about it later, yet still ending up falling back into my bad habits.

And, hey, I've managed to survive so far. :P You'll be fine. ;) Just stick on through it, and you'll be able to do great things. :) I can tell. :D

Like some places have hidden strictness that they don't really make clear from the get-go... which can be confusing and unfortunate. Hard to predict, really.

I talk to myself (or rather I talk to my instincts) a lot, but that is different.
There was some guy on TVTropes the people on IJBM kept saying I was a clone of, which bothered me a tad... and then they banned me because I annoyed a few of them and the others just didn't give a damn enough to question it.

Oh, I'm sure you're unique enough. I can already see differences in you and slight quirks which are rare in others, soyeah. :)

Lanu (guy I went to Uni with) once found it very funny that I tend to type the same way I talk... along with all the weird quirks of speech and stuff that most folk omit when they type (probably on account of not being able to type so fast). Dunno if that is really a thing though.
Like some stuff I used to think were a thing aren't actually a thing, but just stuff that isn't really of note.... like my tendency to never use my thumbs unless I absolutely have to... An old habit that really got strengthened back in the days when I was doing Wing Chun (before I quit after a year on account of not being insured and having an anxiety attack about doing it illegally or something).

They're all case-sensitive and stuff. =/

Took me a while to figure that out as well. [/QUOTE] only works if you do a QUOTE=*author*, whereas [/quote] works with quote and (I think; been a while) QUOTE as well.

However, I also believe (if memory serves) that you can do QUOTE=*author* with a [/quote] ending.

...Yeah, it's a complicated system. I had it all worked out at one time, but since I stopped quoting things often, I lost the knowledge.
