wat.
haven't they milked that franchise enough?

No. But apparently Bloom and Knightley have had enough of PotC and have jumped ship, so to speak.

Yeah, I sort of dug "The Village". I didn't think it needed the b.s. twist - it was a good horror movie without tacking it on at the end.
But the guy gets a pass-for-life from me for "Unbreakable".
A-man:
Ok, I agree, the happening had clear issues; not a very good film. I just am sick of people (not you) picking on him. He has made some of the best yet most unappreciated films. Why did everyone hat the Village? Lady in the water was admittedly not very good. Last Airbender should be very interesting.
Shaggers:unbreakable was awesome. I'm not saying Shyamalan hasn't made ANY good movies...he's made some of my favorites. But he's starting to let me down. The Happening was just...not good. I hope he continues a great career. I just haven't really liked any of his recent stuff.

I've heard that said and it's true, but not more true than with "Unbreakable" or "the Sixth Sense". I don't think it was exactly tacked on. It made sense and brought some characters more into focus. Really that's his talent, not twist endings, good characters.

I liked The Village because being blind is one of my biggest fears. Not to mention the red cloaks filmed beautifully. And I thought Lady in the Water was okay - it was written as a fairytale, I kinda like that.
We'll see about The Last Airbender though. It could be a major flop. I hear it's already taking some criticism over casting Americans in the lead roles.

To be fair though as much as he shouldn't cast all americans, it always has been an american show. It's only asian because it chooses to be. I mean, it's not like its based off an american comic. And you just can't help but like Paul Giamatti in Lady in the Water or anything else.

Long as they have the moves. Which, I think they do. The actor casted as Aang studies Tae Kwon Do. So I'm not too worried... although Tae Kwon Do sucks. I study Tang Soo Do, which is infinitely better. XD

Oh, it came to me suddenly and I can't imagine why I didn't post it earlier. The best movie this year will be "Inception" by christopher Nolan. If you have not seen the trailer I advise you do so immediately. Christopher Nolan is amazing, "Memento" is one of the best movies of all time.

Yes! Memento is so freaking good. And holy crap...Inception looks ridiculous. In a good way. I love crazy stuff like that.

This is it (Michael Jackson). I enjoyed this, and he was a really nice bloke, and extremely gifted. Especially liked watching the blond girl with her guitar, she was amazing!! In the song Black and White (or whatevr it is called).
Movies I've recently watched and think are really dumb:
Surrogates (Demi Moore's ex hubby is in it, forgotten his name)
Vitner's Luck (pathetic)
and another one directed by Woody Allen about an old man shacking up with a young girl, more than pathetic.

Caylynn:I'm looking foreward to Despicable Me and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
The first one might turn out to be rubbish, but the character designs are neat.

YES.
I totally forgot about Scott Pilgrim. I can't think of anyone better than Edgar Wright to direct that flick.
I just hope Cera doesn't take Scott and make him all shoe-gazey and awkward. I know that's what every arm-chair director is saying across the interwebs - but I love Michael Cera, so I'm optimistic. It's just that Scott is this inherently cocky dude.

What I dont get about "The Happening" is that it hints that bees were the first to vanish to the evil tree conspiracy.
...bees
which are 100% vital to plant-life

Inglorious Basterds was awesome!
The villian in it is amazing! Plus Brad Pitt is just plain funny in it.

that was the beauty of it. you have all these uncomfortable situations that all lead up to an awesome conclusion. it makes everything tense.
