Yeah, I had the html all worked out, but then I come and register and find OH MY GOSH YOU HAVE LAYOUTS!.

The layout's really what's screwing me up. I could do raw HTML but the variables are ridiculous.

It took a little experimenting to get used to for me too, but it's not too hard, catches on pretty fast. I haven't looked at your page, but I had the same problem for a while, with all the buttons directing to the homepage. I had been trying to use my homepage as a page that would display the most recent comic but also make use of all the buttons, and I don't think that works... so if that's what you're trying, I'm not sure if it's possible.

Besides that though, it should be smooth enough... I absolutely love the layouts as a starting point.

I'll have AFStaff write a tutorial soon. It's really just a matter of getting used to it. I wouldn't know how else to do it. At one point I considered letting users use castrated PHP, but I decided against it.

I'm actually a fan of the layout system here.
I can believe that a system that gives html access like this must be very hard to set up, but in my limited experience, and IMHO, Comic Fury has one of best.
Also, until I start college in September, I have nothing to do but job-hunt, and I like being helpful, so if AFStaff doesn't want to, I'm volunteering to write a tutorial, I think I've got a decent grasp of it.

the whole "ComicFury" thing is just an acronym. It stands for Comics On My Interneting Computer For... Ummm.... Readers? Yeah....
Layout? I practically wrote the book on layouts. It's all probably being move to a wiki somewhere though. Still don't want to deal with the code? I'll do it for you.

I was going to wait till we had the redesign done because I wanted to do some tweeks to the design page to make it more intuitive. I was then going to make a visual tutorial (A picture step by step and a video as well probably.) feel free to write you own if you like. 2 tutorials is even better since if someone doesn't understand me (Pretty likely) they might understand you.

Right now I'm finishing up my design for the new site. Sorry about not getting it done yesterday BTW Kyo, the power went out in the entire town for 2.5 hours right when I started working and today I didn't get home till late. That'll be done by tomorrow probably so after that CF2k will simply be a matter of putting design and hard code together.
