My son was born today. Weighing 10 lb 3 onces and 3 weeks early. His name is Samuel Archer Paul Taylor.
I had been updating this a bit in the secret Santa thread but the issue has gotten worry some. His size and early birth has given him difficulties breathing so they are airlifting him to Little Rock (about an hour away) to a specialty hospital. So I'll be going there and staying in a hotel.
Prayers, best wishes, whatever will be appreciated. Thank you
Made it to the hotel. Dr called and said that the baby's doing much better. Should be unplugged from everything in around 24 hours. He still has to stay in ICU longer so his lungs can mature enough to sustain his big baby body.
Man....sorry to hear that. I don't have kids, so I can't even imagine what it must be like to go through something like this, but that's got to be pretty tough. At least with some of your updates it sounds like things are getting better.
Best of luck to you, your wife, and the little one.

I'm still stuck replying with my smartphone so I cannot give the full responses to everyone like I'd like to do. For now I'll just blanket update that they say he's doing very well. They are taking him off the breathing tube as I type. He still needs tubes going to his belly button. Once they remove the breathing tube he won't have to be sedated.
He may come home in a few days or up to 2 weeks. Just depends. They say its too early to say.
Hey everyone! Sorry for not being very active with updates. I just wanted to let everyone know that they called us Friday night and told us we had to stay the night at the hospital with him so they could make sure we knew how to change him, feed him, etc while they monitored him.
We finally left at 1pm Saturday. He got his 1st check up away from a Pediatrician Monday and the Doc said he was perfectly healthy! :)
