Ya'll gotta learn how to cook

Acquire 4-5 parsnips and a head of cauliflower. Wash and chop them into about 1 cubic inch bits. Get pot and fill halfway with water, set it to boil. Put the bits in cook them until if you plan me with a fork they give way no problem. Drain them, then put them back into pot at low heat. Add a splash of milk, salt, pepper, and paprika. Then mash it with a wooden spoon until its creamy.

Once you got that put it into a ceramic casserole dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs and cheese on top. Put into oven at 350f for 20 minutes, take it out and eat.

alright i'm gonna give you the real 411 on these potatoes:

you dice up some potatoes and rinse them off well (i prefer red potatoes, but you can use any kind)
then throw them in a ziplock bag with some olive oil, a goodly amount of salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder and shake.
shake it up until the oil and seasonings have coated the potatoes and spread them out on a baking sheet
then roughly chop up some fresh rosemary and sprinkle over the potatoes, bake at 425f for 30 minutes, then stir them up and bake for another 30 minutes.

as for me? heh i ate an entire bag of frozen french fries for dinner

First off - the key to good cooking: fry garlic and onions in marg/butter/oil and stick WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT IN THE MICROWAVE!
Seriously - get that aroma going and you can impress anybody.

Next (if you actually want to eat what you cook), boil rice AND put soy sauce in the water. It browns and infuses the rice in one go.

Now that your garlic and onion are sauteed (wow! never spelled THAT before; weird) add in other veggies to taste - carrot slices, broccoli,blah, blah, but don't let them soften.

If you want fried rice, put your soy sauce rice in a pan on low heat for a while (or high heat for a bit) and stir often.

A scrambled egg in the mix is nice, too. Yeah. It is.

Shrimp, pork, chicken, beef - as you like.

So, to recap - rice, soy sauce, veggies (as you like), meat/eggs (as you like), onions and garlic (as you like). Fry the rice if you like fried rice (which is all it is; rice, soy sauce and chicken - chiken flied riiiiice!).

I make excellent veggie and chicken/beef soup as well.
