Do you have an awesome idea for your comic's layout? No idea how to make it work? Well, you could hire one of those PSD-to-HTML conversion services. Lets see, a Comic Fury layout consists of 6 pages, so lets go get some quotes:
www.xhtmlchop.com $190
www.markup4u.com $507
www.psd2html.com $556
www.codemyconcept.com $275
xhtml.pixelcrayons.com - No quote available, $99 starting fee, probably for a single page
So you send in your PSD, they send you back 5 pages. Now comes the daunting task of taking those pages, separating out what should be in the Overall Layout section of the code, Switching the link to the CSS to work with Comic Fury's system, uploading the layout files, and then editing in all the Comic Fury variables. If anything goes wrong, you're more or less on your own. Doesn't really seem worth it, does it?
Well, there is another option. An option that means a less hassle and less stress for you. An option that supports the development of Comic Fury, and option that's custom tailored to the user's of Comic Fury. Get your layouts coded here, "in-house" so to speak. Let's go through the process:
Get a quote: $200, a significant portion of which goes to fund Comic Fury
Submit you design: Doesn't even need to be a PSD, This is a flexible and accommodating service. Just make it clear exactly what the design looks like
Design Usability and Practicality Review: Get some feedback on what parts of your design work well on the web and what doesn't, what's possible with the current web technologies, and what might need to be changed
1st payment: You receive an invoice for $80 up front, and then the work can begin.
Wait: Coding takes time, but you'll be updated on the progress and if any issues come up, you'll be involved in finding an appropriate solution (unless you'd rather not)
Preview your design: This is the fun part, your design will be posted to a testing comic so you can see the whole thing live.
Final payment: Now the remaining $120 is due
Get your layout: Once the bills are all settled, you get all the files for your layout and can publish it.
Sounds much easier, doesn't it? There's other benefits too:
Great Support: If something goes wrong and you come to the forum for help, you'll be talking to someone who knows the Comic Fury system, and your layout. You can't get much better support than that
2 revisions: After the site is done you get two opportunities to submit little to-do lists. Although, if all goes well, you shouldn't need these. Please note: Revisions are to fix issues with the site, if you want the whole thing redesigned, that's something different.
Feel Good: You'll be helping to fund the future of Comic Fury.
So feel free to ask any questions here. If you're interested in this service, please PM me.

the whole "ComicFury" thing is just an acronym. It stands for Comics On My Interneting Computer For... Ummm.... Readers? Yeah....
Layout? I practically wrote the book on layouts. It's all probably being move to a wiki somewhere though. Still don't want to deal with the code? I'll do it for you.
