What if we made a webcomic where each of the pages were done by different authors?
The plot of the webcomic could be randomly set up by the authors who wrote each page.
People could sign up to become the author of the nth page or something.
(Page number- Author)
2- Lee Lines
When you sign up, make sure to tell me your page number!!
Authors for page numbers after 10 can be signed up later.
NSFW content is not allowed.
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS (MUST READ TO JOIN:)
When somebody (let's call this guy person B) finishes their page, they should send it via PM to the person who made it before them (Let's call this guy person A.). Then, person A would grant author permissions to person B. Person B posts the page he or she made on the comic site.
The person who makes the next page (called person C) sees Person B's comic on the site. Person C makes the next page and sends it to person B via PM. Person B would grant author permissions to person C. Person B posts the page he or she made on the comic site.
And it goes on and on.
(If person B already knew who person C would be when he was finished drawing his page, he could send his page to person C via PM when he sends a PM to person A. That would save time.)
tl;dr: Upload your pages yourself and give the next person the author permissions (make him or her an owner of the comic) so that he or she can upload the next page.
This kind of reminds me of Comic Jam. (I was about to link it, but I was looking through and discovered you did it as well!)
Anyway, I think Comic Jam went well, and it was a lot of fun! So something like this could be super cool.
A little known fact is that I'm actually Danny Phantom in disguise. :O
This sounds pretty neat. I'd be game for it. I have no experience with these things, so can I ask what the framework is?
Like is there a basic skeleton plot that the writers add their ideas onto?
Are all the pages a continuation and we're all drawing the same characters?
If so, who would do the basic designs?
So we could have an opening idea or hook. Gotcha.
I read through some of the comic jams and have a better idea on it.
This kind of reminds me of Fiasco, where you make up the plot as you go along. Looser but similar.
Hmm, this sounds like a very interesting and potentially out-of-control-in-the-best-possible-way idea. I like it! Get this thing going, with some coherent ground rules and whatnot, and I'd be happy to put my support (and comic-making mayhem) behind it!
Oh yeah. One problem I can see is with time stuff. I think we should have a time limit for page completion so that one person doesn't hold up the entire comic. And maybe to make things easier, people could send a rough idea of what they'll be drawing to the next person or something
