So (sorry to interrupt the buffer or phase or whatever) I don't know why this has only just occurred to me, but as I'm leaving on a three-night holiday trip today I won't be able to take part in the game. Keljan, it might be best to sub someone in in my place.
Shrek sat at his desk, reviewing the day's income. Surprisingly low, given the number of adventurers currently residing at his establishment. He would have to increase prices, or perhaps start charging for water. He was interrupted from his musing by a knock at the door.
"Come in." He said.
"I'm not disturbing you at all?"
"Nope. Just finished up. Business has been slow, what with this whole mess."
"Well, hopefully you won't have to worry about it for much longer. Oh, I drafted up today's news. It reads:
Xeno has privately messaged Shrek.
Vellikat has privately messaged Shrek.
Trav has privately messaged Shrek.
Someone has attempted to divine the alignment of the Innkeeper!
Someone has killed the Innkeeper!"
"Wait, what was that last one?"
Shrek, the Innkeeper, has died! He was aligned with the Adventurers.
It is now Day 3. Start voting.
Edit: No worries, Vellikat. I think I can get someone to replace you.
Rem has replaced Vellikat.
Avatar by the amazing Megatronski!
Turquoise:He was the one trying to summon pithulu in the first place!
"I'm totally not going to die tonight!" ~Shrek, to me, in PM
I find it interesting that someone managed to scry the innkeeper even though the seer is down. Tautologically, this other Seer either either town, mafia, or a third party. If it's a mafia seer, then the kill was most likely delivered by a non-mafia. I doubt a town killing role would go after Shrek, so that leaves the following possibilities:
-The mafia have a seer of their own, and there's a third-party killing role.
-The town has another seer-style role.
considering the guardian's down (unless there's another one of those as well), I doubt the mafia didn't get a kill in last night (barring poison/conversion), so I'd guess it's another town role. can't say for sure, though
The first post in the thread said Shrek is aligned with the adventurers. That makes me think it was not a maf seer since presumably mafia would have paid attention to that detail. We all already knew Shrek's alignment from the start.
I'm also noticing a definite pattern of mafia members killing townies who softclaim power roles - first with Rem after her rp, and then with Shrek when he wrote about knowing everything. Aaaand they've done a pretty good job so far of eliminating power roles, so I can't blame them for that even if they are scum...
