"Werewolf V", 26th Aug 2010, 11:08 AM #1
Once again I present, shamelessly copied from the almighty Linden of Comic Fury, WEREWOLF.... and its rules. :)
As stated repeatedly, please refer to previous games to see what it's like. We had a very crafty set of werewolves last game, so if you weren't there, you should check it out anyway!
We'll keep it at a nice, safe 15 people.
1. Sarge
2.Magravan - Villager. Winner of the werewolves' Most Munchable and Crunchable Villager award.
3.geekgrrl - Villager. Slaughtered in a random phantom encounter.
4.edi-san - Ghost. Enjoying the sweet taste of martyrdom.
5.Elayne the Distrait- Seer. Gobbled up by the very werewolves she HAD JUST SEEN. Oh, irony.
6.SuperPie - Villager. Devoured by 'wolvies.
7. Shaggers
8.Salty - Villager. Would have been tastier with some melted cheese.
9.Michelle - Villager. Tending to the great chicken houses in the sky.
10.Fingerwitch - Villager. Now dangling in the wind, thanks to her fellow townspeople.
11. Kristy
12.BlackMageBrad - Traitor. Lynched by confused villagers.
13.Ice the frosty cat - Villager. Nommed by werewolves.
14.Antihero - Guardian. Brutally lynched for being Australian. Or possibly the werewolf.
15.Jacob Gristwood - Villager. Hanging outside the town and, depending on the wind's direction, enhancing its smell.
Linden:Despair hangs over the tiny village as disappearances have become too numerous to ignore. Clues from the disappearances have all pointed to the same thing: Werewolves. Frightened, the Villagers must band together to find the werewolves among them before they're slaughtered one by one. But fear not Villagers because there is a hidden Seer among you!
There are two sets of rules governing the Day and Night Phases of the game. Werewolves shall attack in the night and Villagers shall lynch one of their own in the day. Each phase lasts for 24 hours or until everybody has voted (or whenever the narrator remembers to log on).
Werewolves' goal: Pretend to be a Villager and dwindle the population down to equal numbers or less. Meaning, 2 Werewolves and 2 Villagers (or one Villager and Seer/Guardian/Traitor) or 1 Werewolf and 1 Villager/Seer/Guardian/Traitor. 2 Werewolves and 1 Villager works too.
Villager's goal: Lynch the Werewolves!
Day Phase
- This is the time to communicate with each other and discuss strategy. Instant messengers may be used.
- There are no rules about conversation - tell the truth, fib, or down right lie.
- Tip: Don't reveal your role.
- During this time, everybody will vote (in this thread) about who to lynch. Majority will rule. You may change your vote at anytime.
- In case of a tie: a random generator will be used.
- With the exception of the Ghost, once you’re lynched you’re out of the game and your role is revealed.
- This ends the Day Phase.
Night Phase
- All Villagers must halt all discussion of the game – you’re asleep.
- The Werewolves, Guardian, and Seer (plus Ghost, if applicable) will perform their roles.
- The Seer will request to see the role of one person via a PM to the narrator.
- The Guardian will guard one person via PM.
- Werewolves will be aware of fellow werewolves and won’t be able to kill each other.
- Werewolves will unanimously pick an individual to slaughter and PM that person’s name to the narrator.
- Tip: An organized pack is a successful pack! It is recommended the Werewolves decide on an Alpha among themselves. The Alpha will have the responsibility of sending a PM to the narrator.
- The narrator will announce the morning and who was killed. With the exception of the Ghost, the role will be revealed and the Day Phase begins.
- Dead Villagers (Seer, Guardian, and Traitor included), dead Werewolves, and fulfilled Ghosts may not discuss or provide clues to the game. But they can be a peanut gallery. :D
Roles
- Werewolves (x2) - The enemy! Driven by the lust of flesh and blood, you and your fellow 'wolf will hunt a Villager every night.
- The Seer (x1) - Has the power to see the role of one person a night. As is obvious, The Seer is a powerful tool to the Villagers.
- The Guardian (x1) - Has the ability to guard one person (including himself) every night. The guarded person cannot die that night.
- The Traitor (x1) - This person is a Villager and is unaware they are the Traitor. However, if the Seer requests to see their role, they will be shown as a Werewolf.
- The Ghost (x1)* – This person is unaware they are the Ghost. When the Ghost dies, the role won’t be revealed publicly; instead, the narrator will inform the Ghost of their true role via PM. The Ghost may kill one player during any night phase. Optionally, the Ghost may reveal himself and contact any member.
- Villager (the rest) - You don’t have a superpower; you’re just trying to find the werewolves.
*This role is only available if 11+ players register.
The narrator reserves the right to change the rules and roles according to his/her whim.
