"Werewolf X", 16th Nov 2010, 5:56 AM #1
ARE YOU READY FOOORRRR
WEREWOLF X: IT'S "X"-TREEEEEEEME

Actually, I only wanted an excuse to draw a werewolf on a dirt bike.
__________
The wizard sat in his domain, contemplating the conclusion of the previous game.

“That was indeed entertaining, but the energy from villagers killing each other is much better than if I do it myself...”
The wizard stared into the glass orb, stroking his beard. “The villagers cannot keep winning like this! These werewolves, they are not enough... They need.. something more.”
An idea! His eyebrows rose, and he grinned slightly. “Yes, I know exactly what to do...”
***
Meanwhile, in Comicfury-ville-town-burough-ania, the villagers went about their daily business of herding goats, eating custard, and chatting around Ol’ Lynchy. They knew the story of the werewolves from generations past, but they had always thought that it was a fable to just scare misbehaving villagers. Surely such a thing would never happen to them!

Night had come to the village, and the townspeople went to their homes, as was their usual routine.
However, two villagers could not sleep this night. They suddenly felt…very different…
And very hungry.

WEREWOLF: GAME X
I'm easing up on the details of things a little bit compared to last game. I cut the number of previous roles in half, added a couple, tweaked a few others, but it's basically the same.
Or is it!?
(It probably is.)
HOW THE GAME WORKS:
Starting the Game:
- Sign up on the form below, copying and pasting the list before yours, should you be the second+ person to join.
- Roles will be randomly passed to people on the list, and the game will begin.
Phases:
- Each Phase lasts 24 hours or until all the votes/roles are accounted for.
- During the Day Phase, the Villagers will vote for who they think is the Werewolf. The villager with the most votes will be lynched.
- During the Night Phase, those with roles will PM me their decisions. The results will be displayed before the Day Phase begins.
Winning Conditions:
- Villagers, kill the wolves/wolf-aligned to win.
- Wolves, outnumber or equal the number of Villagers to win.
CHANGES FROM GAME IX:
- With two exceptions, the villagers as a whole are no longer at risk of being converted into werewolves. You just die. That's better…right?
- Major communication must take place in this thread. If you happen to talk about it briefly in other places, that's fine, but don't a bunch of you be planning behind-the-scene things. :| C'mon, let everyone in on it!
- There are no secondary roles. Meaning, there will not be a Werewolf that has another role.
- All roles will once again be secret.
__________

The Alpha - New Active Role
- This was the first villager to give in to the inner calling of the werewolf and thus has instinctual claim over the territory.
- By default, this werewolf is the spokesperson. However, he may choose another to be the spokeswolf, if needed due to "real life." (Whatever that is, you crazy villagers!)
- Instead of killing a villager, the Alpha has the opportunity to convert the victim instead. This can only happen once. It takes two Night Phases for the effect to take place. On the third night, the Villager will be converted. The next day, the village will be made generally aware of an addition to the werewolf pack.
- If the converted villager has a role, they may use it against the town.
The Fraud - New Latent Role
- With a stronger aura than that of a standard werewolf, the Fraud is able to hide his savage emotions. The Seer will read the Fraud as Villager until a connection with the Ghost is made.

The Seer - Revised Active Role
- Similar to previous games, the Seer can choose one villager per night to discover true alliances.
- The Seer is the only villager that is able to communicate with the Ghost.
- Using mystical traps and artifacts, the Seer has a 40% chance of surviving a werewolf attack.
The Guardian - Revised Active Role
- The Guardian can choose to protect one villager per night. That person will be protected not only from harm during the Night Phase, but also will be publicly protected during the Day Phase (without revealing the role of the Guardian), meaning that the guarded one cannot be lynched.
- If the Villagers still demand that the guarded one be lynched, the Guardian will take the villager's place.
The Ghost - Revised Latent Role
- Once the Ghost is released, there is a 50% chance each night that the Seer will come in contact with the wandering spirit. After that, they may communicate in private.
- After his/her death, the Ghost may enact its vengeance on one villager at any time—day or night—with or without the Seer's initial contact, before moving on to the Big Village in the Sky.
- After contact with the Seer, the Ghost weakens the Fraud's facade, negating the latent ability and allowing the Seer to look at the werewolf clearly from that point onward (even after the Ghost's revenge is complete).
The Vigilante - New Active Role
- This villager rebels against the system. Down with the machine!
- At the beginning of the game, the Vigilante may secretly choose a side:
- Corrupt Vigilante: This vigilante has chosen to side with the Werewolves. They will work together to bring the village to its knees. (Essentially becoming the Framer from previous games, the Corrupt Vigilante may choose someone each Night Phase to appear as a Werewolf to the Seer. Also, an additional secret vote will be slipped toward the victim during the following Day Phase.)
- Noble Vigilante: Having a change of heart, this vigilante has chosen to align with the Villagers to rid the town of the Werewolves. (This vigilante acts as a second Guardian, allowing an additional villager to be protected each Night Phase. Unlike the actual Guardian, the Vigilante will not risk being sacrificed in order to protect a villager during the Day Phase.)
The Mercenary - New Active Role
- This villager has been hired by a man dressed in purple to kill anyone that might be a werewolf. The Mercenary cares very little about the lives of innocent villagers; to kill the wolves is the highest priority.
- The Mercenary may choose someone to kill every-other Night Phase. There is a 50% chance that it will succeed before the villager escapes.
- Committed to the end, the Mercenary will kill the last player that votes to lynch him.
The Traitor
- Unchanged from Game IX, this villager would rather join the werewolves than be killed by one. The Traitor is the only villager (aside from the one infected by the Alpha) that can be converted.
The Sheriff
- Unchanged from Game IX, the Sheriff may choose one person per night to lock into a jail cell. That person may not vote in the following Day Phase and will be unable to participate in the next Night Phase.
__________
Since there is the possibility of 2+ Night-kills (Werewolf/Mercenary/Ghost) and up to 5 werewolf-aligned players (Alpha/Fraud/Convert/Traitor/C.Vigilante), we'll start with 25 villagers. If there are not enough people interested, the list will be cut to the closest odd number to begin the game with a Night Phase.
THE GAME IS OVER: THE WEREWOLVES HAVE WON THIS ROUND.
