Invader.Socks:Rampage is a great series of games. Basically, you pick your character and you have to destroy the city before time or your health runs out.

I absolutely love Rayman 2. That was a good find.

Star Wars Episode One Racer is a really fun game. The only connection to Phantom Menace (A movie I love, BTW.) is the Tatooine race and Anakin's a racer in it.

Don't knock Glover until you've tried it. It's a really unique game and I think it deserves a sequel/remake at some point.

OoT is, in my opinion, overrated. I like Majora's Mask much better.

I already had Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask before this purchase. I have to agree, Majora's Mask is better. I think it had a better atmosphere. I didn't really like the "epic adventure" vibe of Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask feels much more personal and if this makes any sense for the arty madness it is, much less pretentious.

Tried Glover just to see what the hell it was and yes, it's great, albeit absolutely insane. I disagree about the remake, though. Not that it doesn't deserve a remake, it most certainly does, but it wouldn't make any money in today's shooter-centric gaming industry due to the inability of most modern gamers to "think outside the box."

This, one hundred-million times over. Majora's mask is, in my opinion, the best game ever crafted by human hands and all people ever seem to talk about is Ocarina of Time. It's disheartening, really. Ocarina of time is incredibly lifeless and bland stood next to Majora's Mask.

I honestly thought spiral knights was one of the worst FTP ripoffs I have ever encountered. In order to do anything for a reasonable amount of time, you have to cough up cash or spend craploads of time screwing around with the game's poor economic system. I would most certainly not go back to it anytime soon.

Ken, you'd be surprised how well games that aren't shooter-centric do, at least on the PC. Consoles are sort of barren in that regard nowadays, but there are always exceptions.

I love Majora's Mask. Chrono Trigger wins over everything in my biased opinion, but it's definitely in my top 10. It's much deeper, both in concept and gameplay.
I don't generally like PC gaming. It just doesn't feel the same. I hate the consoles of this generation with a passion. There's barely anything except shooter rehashes.

Majora's Mask and Wind Waker are possibly the two most overlooked LoZ games (other than the gameboy ones, but there's a reason those are overlooked), and in my opinion both (I personally prefer Wind Waker to Majora's Mask, but still both) are the best LoZ games. You had a feel of being able to play a game that was fairly linear a different way every single time, which is something that I didn't quite feel with Ocarina.

Responding to Ken now: I think that PC gaming is the best thing this generation has going for it now, especially with open source games and mods rising in popularity. I'm also tired of all the shooter rehashes (it's not ALL that comes out any more, but I'll admit that there's an annoying amount of them), so when I see awesome gems in gaming that are only on PC like Amnesia, Dota 2, Spacechem, Legend of Grimrock, Terraria and Minecraft, and the Trine games, it really renews my faith in modern gaming, ESPECIALLY on PC.

Also, as far as modern games go, can't beat the prices of PC games :)

I've never played Wind Waker, but this is certainly true for Majora's Mask. I really love Majora's Mask for its eerie atmosphere more than anything else, though. If you can't tell, I'm more of a Metroid person.

I know this all very well. My gaming platform for this generation is Steam. I simply don't like modern games very much. The only game of this generation that really blew me away was Portal, which it made it into my top 5.
I don't use Steam very much. Too busy with my retro consoles.

Picked up Skyrim after a few months of not playing it. If it wasn't for college stuff, I'd work on finally finishing the story. -___-

You might wish to look into Cave Story+, on Steam.
And Aquaria.
And Limbo.
And Terraria.
And Super Meat Boy.
And World of Goo.
And Braid.
Whew, finally I can't think of anymore off the top of my head. But yeah, look into those.

Lunaris Victoria:I'm losing as much faith in them as I am in Sony. It took way too long for Sony to make the PS3 viable for its pricetag and then they went and purposefully nerfed PS2 compatibility. Stand-up performance, Sony. Yeah, game companies were making games for the PS2 still. Why? Because you set a bar way too high. The cost to make the games was too much. That's why your system lacked for good games to begin with.

Yeah, they aren't any better. They're sitting on a gold mine with Dragoon and yet they chose to make more God Of War... *sigh*

with all the LoZ chat:

just hazarding a guess here from the information i have, but i'd be willing to guess that mm is overlooked in part because it uses a lot of the same characters as oot, and seems to sorta throw them all together a little. i don't really know, i wasn't that big a member of the franchise when the pair came out but to me it would seem that for a fanbase wanting a new sequel, seeing all the same characters (same designs and sprites, even) may have been a bit disappointing.

both great games, and i'd agree that in most ways mm is better, but there does seem to be some lazy in the game creation.

Replace Braid with VVVVV.
...Actually ken might enjoy Braid more cause of its pretentiousness.

But VVVVV is a far superior game.

Did you know that majora's mask was one of the first games thinking in a DLC kind of way?
simply because it was supposed to be like an "expansion" to ocarina, that actually explains why majora´s mask is shorter in content, and why they used the "3 day method" in the game. Also, they made majoras mask in only a year,
that´s why they didn´t have much time to make new sprites and characters

Not to mention their reputation for safety has taken a rather understandable nosedive. It's hard to trust them anymore. I could stand the first God of War, but that game could've been made, finished, and stood on its own. At least that's how I feel about it.

I could also recommend Eversion, too. It's available for free elsewhere, but the version you get on Steam has some extras like an extra ending too.

Also, I tried playing that Toy Story 2 game.
God. No. No, no, no, no, no. This should not have been made.

Oh also @ Ken and anyone in this thread that likes retro games and cheap PC prices, check out GOG (I think it's at gog.com but not going to link since I'm not sure), it has a bunch of great DOS and old-style/retro feel games at really cheap prices. Like everything is $10 or less, and any games you download there from earlier than XP have either patches from the site that essentially run it in a DOSbox like thing for you, or come with really easy instructions on how to run it.

For old PC games, I use DOSbox and a USB floppy reader when I have to. I don't really like digital delivery, I'm too much of a collector. I don't mind Steam, though, since I don't have much sentiment for newer games.
