I'm not sure if this has already been said, as I haven't read through the rest of this thread yet. But always remember that people are ALWAYS happier in facebook posts and pictures than they really are. That's what's so irritating about it. Their lives aren't better than yours; they just won't shut up about their plastic-face smiles and ooey gooey relationship statuses. I feel like anyone who has to post frequent statuses about how happy they are and how much they love their life just want people to THINK they're doing better than they are. That may sound cynical, but I've seen too many "Just wanted to let everyone know I have the best boyfriend in the world and the best life and you should all envy me" statuses -- that ended in bad, dramtic, facebook-publicized breakups to take them seriously.
Just do what you're doing, Fools. Because seriously, you're great. :)

Oh convention acquaintances I added on facebook, could you stop being whiny butthurt idiots just because homestuck fans are 'ruining' your anime conventions? And by 'ruining' I mean just attending and having fun just like everyone else attending. And seriously, I think a lot of homestuck attendees are really nice, minus the few horror stories. But yeah, said acquaintances really need to get their heads out of their butts and have fun, ugh.

Okay, apparently my cousins have little to no taste in music, acting, pantomime, awesomeness, or comedy.
Sucks for them.
Sucks for them.

That awkward moment when you can't identify your own highschool friends in a recent photo of them.

I've been doing a good job of keeping calm around all this, but it feels like around this time of year fate's conspiring to constantly remind me of the car accident I was in almost 6 years ago. What with the Watch_Dogs trailer featuring a surprisngly realistically-depicted traffic accident (That dude shaking his wife trying to get her to wake up did trigger me just a bit), and just now finding my deceased brother's YoungScot card, photo and all, it does shake me up a little bit.
This is why I can be a little slow or half-arsed with updating comics round about this time of year. I'll get better though, it just gets a little rough round about now.

Because it would be ultimately boring and uninspiring if we didn't have to trudge through shit and die.

Apparently my mother has so little respect for me that she doesn't believe me when I say that I have an excursion for geography tomorrow and I don't have a permission note and asked if she could just write a note saying I have permission.
"I want to see if it's official"
nice mum, nice.
Fuck.

The establishment has a vested interest in seeing us toil through life.
It provides the canned laughter on TV.
Besides, even if we had paradise, there would be the trouble of enjoying it. wouldn't it all be utterly boring after a time? Wouldn't we gravitate towards even simulated struggle and conflict, because that is the building blocks of human nature, the stuff that provides our humanity?

All this constant job-hunting I've had to do in the last week has gotten me nothing except horrible delays on my comics. It would have been a better idea to wait until I've gotten a new job before quitting my old one, but I flipped out at my boss after I requested since 8 months ago for either a raise or more hours and last week got a big fat NOPE on both of them.
they were making a massive profit with my artwork and the most I got was part time at $10/hr. :/ I was crying so much last week.

Ugh. I really hate people who call off work, especially if they're new. Good job blowing your job away and making me have to do the work you didn't do.

Hey sometimes people call off work for legit reasons. :x
I learned the hard way that it's best to call off when you're not feeling well. One time I went in, puked a few times into the nearest trash can, called the office to find a replacement, ended up staying another 3 more hours puking. And nobody changed the trash can for WEEKS. The whole room smelled like old puke constantly for a while.
NEVER AGAIN.

Oh geez... :C
How could nobody change the trashcan for WEEKS?!?! Wouldn't you notice the next day and be like, "Someone needs to take care of this"??
