ryuskrew:Running is difficult
Stand back everyone, i've got this.
*clears throat*
Running is a complicated matter, that involves many muscles and joints, unlike most other exercises which have a very targeted set of muscles and involve few joints. The pain you are describing is known as "shin splints" and can be very bad, but easily cured, especially when caught with a beginner.
The cause can range anywhere from poor shoes, improper form, too much distance too fast, or just muscle developing where it's not used to being.
The easiest fix is the shoes, you can go to any of your small local shoe stores, and they should have some sort of running expert there, who will be able to set you up with a great pair shoes that match the proper support type you need.
Improper form, and Too much too fast can be fixed the same way. Just scale back your distances. when you do this with improper form, just focus on how your foot hits the ground, the first part to hit should not be your heel, unless you are walking. with distance just take your time.
If it's muscle developing, just run slower and push through.
You should not be trying to go fast yet. (see that? that's a period, no if's and's or butts.)
any questions?

I spent 2 hours last night just crying. everything is a memory. everything, and constantly being bombarded is destroying my stability. luckily i don't have much more time here. and i can't up and leave, because it would hurt my families feelings.
