Our story begins in another dimension, as many stories do. Well, at any rate, the story continues.
The wizard sits in his dusty old library, searching for something he really shouldn't have lost.
He murmurs to himself.
"I bet that bloody curly-haired girl took them with her."
His face lights up as he finds at least some of what he was looking for behind some musty books.
But that's like, three of them. Certainly not enough for a full game.
Further searching reveals only a few more. He'd just have to get some new ones.
He really did like his old ones, though. Even if he killed them on a regular basis.
The wizard digs out the town from his sock drawer. He hadn't used the damn game himself for so long. First there was that analyst guy, coming along and ruining all his plans. Then the one with the hat managed to lose his favourite game piece part way through. And now the curly-haired girl makes off with all his pieces!
He places twenty-six pieces onto the board. Let the game begin.

In a distant reality lies a small village called ComicFurysVille. It's a small, tight-knit community with a population that rarely breaches 25. Everyone knows everyone, everyone lives on the same street. It's vibrant, and colourful. It's interesting and bright. It's also possibly the most unfortunate village ever.

You see, on a number of occasions, it has been found to be completely empty, bar just a few people, and covered in blood and gore. And sometimes, a hapless wanderer will encounter the town, only to find a dead, furry body hanging on a tree near the gate.

And yet, the village always recovers, repopulates, the descendants of the inhabitants looking suspiciously like their ancestors (there's a lot of gossip about parental affairs.)
But recently, things have gone back to normal. It's been generations since anything bad happened, except that one incident at the custard factory (the townsfolk later realised that radioactivity is not a good property to find in custard) and the plague of frogs pestering the town (some idiot bred them, and it all ballooned from there).
And so we find ourselves in ComicFurysVille, on a warm, sunny day in September. MatthewJA is walking down the street, being incredibly loud as per usual. Not even talking to anyone in particular. Just making his own conversation.
Then there's a scream, and a ripping noise. The town falls silent, and MatthewJA falls in pieces into the street.
Ouch.
The townsfolk find him pretty soon. Those with weak stomachs turn away.
But one person holds up the town event log.
"Look! There's only one thing that could do this!"
Someone else cuts in. "There's no such thing as werewolves, you know. It's all a government conspiracy to stop us from stealing cable!"
The previous response was so dumb that everyone is convinced that surely, there must be werewolves in the town. Their ancestors curse has come back to haunt them.
The villages glance toward Ol' Lynchy, standing in the middle of the town square. Their lives hang in the balance of the noose.

Will they perish amongst their forbearers, torn to pieces by the townsfolk and the wolves? Or will they rise above the furry crusade and triumph?
Only time will tell.

Village Aligned
Villager
Villagers are pretty much vanilla - they're nothing special.
Seer
Called by some 'the most important town role' (mainly Sprite) the Seer can use their psychic abilities to sense the alignment of one person per night.
Guardian
The Guardian is like some kind of werewolf-defending MACHINE. Each night, the Guardian can lurk in front of someone's house and protect them from the wolves. However, they're oddly terrible at protecting themselves against the villagers, and if y'all try to lynch their target, they'll be killed instead.
Ghost
The Ghost is a vengeful spirit! They just can't let anything go (they'd probably make a terrible lover) and when they die, they hang around - they can kill someone, regardless of guardian protection!
Sheriff
The Sheriff is a dandy character with a very nice hat who runs the local jail. It's not a big jail, and only holds one person. Each night, the Sheriff can lock someone up, and that person can't vote the next day or use role actions the next night.
Medic
The Medic is kinda like the Guardian, except not quite as pro at defending. They can split their resources between two people each night, but because of this can only manage to save someone - not block the kill outright. The target loses their role action if attacked, but can still vote. They'll also be killed if the Medic isn't around to keep them alive.
Spy
The Spy, if converted, remains on the village's side, and tries to take down the Werewolves from within the pack.
Naturally, it's still a secret to the wolves if they manage to convert the Spy.
The Hapless Romantic
This lucky fellow (fellee...?) stumbled upon a mutual love potion in his/her wanderings in the great outdoors. As it is nearing its expiration date, the Hapless Romantic must use their potion. Him/her and his/her target become the Lovers, and can communicate in a LoverChat! They can discuss roles, tactics, etc. But if one dies, the other dies of a broken heart!
Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny comes from a long line of chocolate-egg delivery specialists. Each night, they take chocolate eggs to someone - and if someone interacts with their target that night, the Easter Bunny gets a clue as to their identity.
Scapegoat
The wolves manage to snap at this poor guy/gal just before they hit the noose, making them transform on their death!
The Scapegoat appears as a werewolf when lynched or seer'd.
Neutral
Traitor
The Traitor starts out village aligned, but if they get attacked, they're perfectly willing to betray their friends and join the wolves!
Neighbour
The Neighbour is one of those types who cranes their neck out the window and spies on their neighbours. You know, the sort you don't want living next to you. The Neighbour pays a visit to someone's house each night to check out what they're doing, and that person can't do their role action that night.
Village Idiot
The goal of the Village Idiot is to get themselves lynched. They won't stand for this whole werewolf business - far better to die on the noose!
Mercenary
The Mercenary was placed into the world for plot reasons, and has a 25% chance of killing someone every two nights! When they're lynched, they kill the last person to vote for them.
They also have a really large sword.
They win if they're alive at the end of the game.
Mayor
The mayor is a changing role, and gets double voting power each day.
Vigilantes
The Vigilantes (there's two) get to choose their alignment at the start of the game. Will they be Corrupt? Or Noble? The Noble Vigilante can select someone each night, and that person gets one less vote the next day. The opposite is true for the Corrupt Vigilante - a vote gets added.
When they choose their alignment, it's first come first served, and if their chosen alignment is taken they get the other. The Corrupt Vigilante is part of the wolf pack, and can access WolfChat.
Werewolves
Alpha
The Alpha is a pretty awesome dude/dudette, if I do say so myself. They can choose someone to convert to be a wolf - the conversion takes three nights - and also appear innocent to the seer.
They also send me the nightly role action for the wolf pack.
Covert Werewolf

There's wolves, and villagers! The wolves know who the wolves are, but the villagers don't! The villagers need to kill all the wolves to win, and the wolves need to equalise the numbers of villagers and werewolves. There's also a few neutral roles, which may have no alignment or varying alignment.
There's a day phase, and a night phase. In the day phase, y'all vote for who you want to lynch! The villagers hope it's a wolf - the wolves try and evade detection! Each phase goes for 24h, give or take where I can't possibly do the phase change!
In the night phase, the wolves make their kill! And the roles do their role actions.
And, new to this game, every night the townsfolk vote for a new mayor! The mayor gets double voting power on the next day phase!
* Don't veg! Don't sign up if you're gonna veg!
* NO PM'ING! ...Or other forms of extra-thread communication (ComicFury Chatzy is fine)
* NO ROLE REVEALING!
* Scapegoat: You'll think you're a villager, but when you die, you'll come up as a wolf. Please please please don't tell anyone you aren't :P
