today i decided that ~$800 is too much to spend on a pair of shoes. mostly decided. maybe decided. begrudgingly decided

Probably for the best as you'd be out $800 and stuck with ugly shoes...

Today I secured an interview for a job as a care worker at one of South Yorkshire's top institutes for people with learning difficulties.

This is quite an achievement since I had a million lagers last night and don't feel very well. Damn I choose dumb times to get drunk.

Today, I started on a new game on Pokemon Blue. Not just any new game, though; I'm doing a Nuzlocke Challenge. So far, so good; Seedster and Misa (Bulbasaur and Nidoran F, respectively) haven't died. Here's hoping the rest of it goes well.

I tried forming an opinion but I still can't find it in me to feel any particular emotion about shoes that don't look exactly like the pair of shoes i already own

Those shoes are too shiny for their own good

they remind me of something 1920's grifter would wearing while out conning old ladies out of money

in short

those are not worth 800 bucks.

Today I got dragged out to the St. Patrick's Day parade, which was a waste of time because I was one of maybe four people there who weren't wearing green, it was hot as hell outside, and unlike most parades I've been to, showing up 25 minutes early is not early enough to find a good parking spot and place to watch the parade. I tried to convince my parents to watch from the Subway downtown, but that didn't happen.

I also played basketball at one of my friend's house. That wasn't too terrible, except that I had to bike across town to get there and there are no sidewalks in his neighborhood, which means it was great that I only came close to getting hit by 21 cars.

And dad made french toast and bacon for lunch.

In Rosemount?

....Does Rosemount even do anything for St. Patrick's day anymore?

Today I got some free lip gloss from Victoria's Secret.
I want to smear it on everything I own because it is as glittery as Eddie Cullen, son.

Today I talked to a couple of friends, filled out a few job applications, listened to more Nirvana on endless repeat than any one human should have a right to survive (Oh, Kurt...), took a nap, ate fried bologna sandwiches, and just enjoyed a day inside while planning on writing something that I keep procrastinating on.

Rosemount? Nooo...I live nowhere near the Cities.

It's a four hour drive from my house to Minneapolis, and even then, most of my trips down there involve going to a Twins game and going home in the same day. Live a bit closer to North Dakota.

----

On a related note, it was a madhouse getting home even though I'm sure there weren't that many people drunk at 4 PM. My brothers was worried that our car would have been towed since dad parked in a reserved parking area, even though he explained that the parking lot was open to the public on weekends. Luckily, he was right because I was in no mood to walk home.

ohhh rightrightright I gotcha. You're lucky, dude, I live by the cities and the birds are beginning to learn to mimic police sirens, because ya hear 'em like, 20 times a day. 8DD

Today I was going to listen to music and draw but then Dad decided that we should go see John Carter, which was good, but skipped over some things and added thingsand half the time I was like "THAT DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE BOOK" but it was good.

Also, was dragged to the Gap. At first I was reluctant, but then I remembered that Gap had paired up with Threadless so I got an awesome shirt. It['s blue and has a bunch of amps arranged in an ampersand pattern, therefore making it an AMPersand. GET IT GET IT GET IT?

Today I went grocery shopping, although I don't feel like we bought anything all that useful. We attempted to buy things that were on sale if you buy 10 of the special priced "March Madness" items, but we didn't make it to ten, meaning that the 6 or so items we DID purchase were more expensive than they probably should have been. -_- Also did we need oreos and potato chips? No. But we have them anyway.

Then, I graded an entire class' worth of work from the past week. Just one class. Out of five. Plus the projects from like a month ago. IT NEVER ENDS!!!

that isn't that much

Wait... your government gives kids money?! I do not mean that at all sarcastically, I just have never heard of that happening.

Today I made 3 chibis, and one colored pinup doodle! trying to get back into drawing every day >.<
I also got an oekaki up and running for the first time :>

And @ those shoes: Yeah, they're nice but I don't think they're worth $800. I mean, now these:

I might fork up $800 for.

I would only ever wear them inside my own house but that's okay

yes, to help pay for the expenses of having a kid, supposedly, it's not much, and it stops once you turn 18. The Australian government forks out a lot of money to random people for various benefits, being under 18 and going to school is one of them
