Just been doing some major life overhauls since I was surprisingly successful with the weight loss. Main changes are going back to school and learning new languages. I was thinking french but I hear that ones near impossible to pronounce as opposed to read (which i'm kind of okay at)

I've also been contemplating riding the bicycle to the post office...only problem is:
1. I live on 4 miles of steep hill
2. People on my road drive like psychos (including myself and my family)
3.Oh and it's hot outside

...eh, i'll drive my car.

In the middle of selling off half my pokemon and DVD collections. Phew this is hard work actually.

What sort of horse show stuff do you do?

Today I did many things, all thrilling to be sure...but the only thing that matters is that I found out that the school district where I've been working just posted a whole ton of teaching openings and thus I pulled together an application (which is a total pain and like 15 pages of things that you need to give them) and hopefully (fingers crossed) I will get a job for next year.

I managed to figure out part of why my scanned comics look SO much choppier and low-quality then the original, which made me pretty damn happy.

I've still got to get today's strip colored and posted, but I've got to fiddle with my tablet drivers a bit to get that going.

Besides, it's almost 4:20 (break time for me every day, without fail, no matter where I am) so I'm due to relax for an hour. Think I'll watch Kiki's Delivery Service and doodle some random landscapes for fun!

Kinda like how I take a break from drawing by drawing something else. Missed this feeling a bit.

Not much…

Basically the most plain and boring jump course in existence and flat classes.

So yesterday, I did a little browsing of TVTropes. Killed a few hours that way, but I've been a Trope Addict long enough to know how to control it so that I don't end up with twenty tabs. (Mainly, I look at the size of my scroll bar when all the contents of the page are being shown. Too long, and I read the trope to get familiarized with it and then leave without looking at examples.)

But sometimes, I can't help but let the curiosity get the better of me.

It's not what you think; I didn't waste that much time on TVTropes, but TVTropes is at fault, I suppose. Basically...you know how some things are incredibly Troperrific? Showing up constantly when you're browsing and sparking interest in something you probably otherwise would never have read?

Yeah...well, when you have a webcomic started in 2005 updating five times a week, you're bound to get a lot of pages and therefore a lot of tropes and mentions on trope pages. In this case, yesterday, I briefly touched upon the Misfiles tvtropes page. (Character page, actually.)

I'd been to that page many times before, because my curiosity had been sparked previously via its constant mentions and me liking the links I clicked to see the comic. Nothing special, right?

Well, I got an urge, and succumbed to it by saying, "Screw it, I'm reading it." And so I did.

I started reading from the beginning.
And reading.
And reading.

...And I kept on reading. For hours after hours. Time kinda starts to blur when you've gotten invested into something and...well, I didn't really pay attention to the clocks at all aside from the occasional glance, which I proceeded to ignore so I could continue reading...

...And I think I finally realized I was too tired to continue at around eight in the morning. So I took a nap, woke up some time around 1 (it had 1 on the clock, but I don't know the exact time), and...went straight back to reading.

All 2000+ comics, meaning an average of 1,000 comics a day, blowing my old record out of the water. (I think I've done 600 comics in a day to finish a comic, but I think my multiple-days record was still in the 200-300 range before today.)
And then I read the TVTropes page and subpages. All the CMOA/H/F, Fridge, WMG, Headscratchers, Trivia, and Character pages (roughly in that order, if memory serves), before reading the main page as well--frequently clicking links to comic numbers as well.

So by the time I finally finished, I decided it was a good idea for me to get breakfast, which I just now did a 6...PM. :P

(Funny thing is, I wasn't really that hungry, either. Nor was I feeling that tired, aside from maybe one time at like 3 or 4 pm. I felt perfectly normal.)

What can I say? When I get devoted to something, I really get devoted to it. I even knew this was going to happen when I began, because I know myself well enough to recognize that not stopping is EXACTLY the kind of thing I'd do. :P I even had the thought process of "I'll probably regret this later, I'll probably miss a meal or two, I'll probably be skipping my night's sleep, but dang it, I'm doing it anyway!" :P

But hey. It felt good. (Not looking forward to tomorrow, though, because I KNOW this is going to come back and bite me. :P)

Compiled some Anti-Chatzy campaign material this morning whilst grilling sausages. This made me realise I can't actually remember the last time I ate a fried sausage; grilled yes, barbequed, casseroled, even cooked in the oven, but fried? Probably in some greasy cafe back in my art student days.

ok so there's a problem with the water lines, idk exactly what.
the result is that tap water is now white.
why?
because air bubbles. tiny little air bubbles are in the water. we are now being supplied fizzy water from our taps for the next few days until it is fixed.

my god this is the greatest thing ever

Oh cool they passed that immigration law here, I did not think they would. Dunno how they're going to do the whole 'legally racial profile' thing.

Printed out and pasted up my artwork. Also, while I was out I discovered (and bought) the first 80 episodes of Dark Shadows, and Season 8 of BUffy - the Animated Comic!

Been a good day. :D

Today we cooked turkey legs in our new oven. This is so much better than the old oven. Can't wait 'til christmas comes around so we can bake a massive fruit cake soaked in sherry, whisky, brandy and anything else I can find behind the cocktail bar.

Today I bought a girly shirt. Which is probably a first for me in over a decade. I usually wear t-shirts or button up camp shirts/work shirts...girly things are unheard of...what is happening to me? Next thing you know my avatar is going to have not just a picture of a girl, but a girly girl at that.

I was having some trouble getting the lighting right on my latest page. Then I ate some cookie dough. I was able to finish the page within minutes after that. Ah, the wonders of a delicious (though not entirely nutritious) snack.

Have you thought this through old girl? Wouldn't it be better just to skip breakfast, lunch and dinner?
