No, I did it because I thought it would be amusing. The AngryRob tradition was actually the first one I thought of.
Regardless,
2GComic tends to make threads in Shameless Advertisement of the pattern "____ Views, ____ Uniques, and (something related to the latest comic)". ("Burning Pokemart", for example.) Not sure if that should count, but, meh.
Cookies, anyone?

You know, I actually decided to stop my relentless self promoting in the forums (with the exception of the one in this thread which was for the sake of comedy). But yeah I do post in alot of threads. I sit in front of a computer for 4 hours waiting for calls at my job and I don't Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Blog, or Really go to any other forum, and I like this little community of Comic artists where everyone is helpful and actually give constructive criticism instead of just saying "Ur comic is teh suk"

New tradition: people on ComicFury are helpful and actually give constructive criticism instead of just saying "Ur comic is teh suk". That's a major reason why I love this place.

The good thing I like about this community is that it might be small, but in that way there are much less trolls and everyone gets to know each other very well.
And I post alot. Same with AngryRob, I don't really need to advertise my webcomic on the forums anymore.
Oh! That's right, my hits have doubled since last time, that means a new thread.

It's fairly absurd to advertise your comic in terms of how many people have already been duped into reading it. Remember that popularity != quality. ;)

Fiiine, I'll wait until the current thread dies out. *grunts*
But remember that even if popularity doesn't = quality, quality usually affects popularity.

Correct. There's a relationship, but quality is the independent variable. Your popularity will not increase for any reasonable stretch of time if your quality remains low, but increasing your quality will in turn increase popularity. The mere fact of being popular does not result in a comic possessing quality, either.

But it is unlikely it would be popular if the quality is low.

Seconded. That thing (is|was) fun.
Cyborg_572:I'm hoping the Secret Santa thing becomes a tradition too.

I guarantee that I will run it again. The Christmas spirit is hella rad-balls.

HA! What world do you live in? Have you turned on a TV or radio or visited a bookstore in the last 3 years or so?
That Secret Santa thing simply has to become tradition.
I am also hoping for a Valentine's Day Special... that could be fun for all the wrong reasons.

I trust your opinion Em.
Tradition#143: Bimonthly Talk in circles with a conclusion less argument based solely on opinion and personal judgement. When the smoke settles you'll never think of forum members in the same light.
all seriousness this place can be a bit of a sowing circle at times or to coin a phrase a "stitch & bitch."

Isn't that true for most forums?
Although this is one of the few where noob questions don't get answered with a "#### you!! RTFM! YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE A SEARCH ON THIS ITS EASY TO FIND ON GOOGLE I HAVE TIME TO RANT BUT NOT TIME TO ACTUALLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION!!!"
...sorry, I spend too much time on a guitar-building forum.
