Comic description

Dark modern fantasy! Born of a severe stroke of individuality & nihilism, 'Ahab' relates more to vermin & outcasts. Join the narrative as she abandons her humanity & finds herself in the gloom. Features peril, BDSM, & disturbing scenes. (This is a completed webcomic!)

I'm kind of a writer who draws, rather than an artist who writes.

I remember you. :) I liked Drunk Duck a lot, but I couldn't take the never-to-be-fixed site issues that manifested when things took that new corporate turn. I don't know if things have changed since then.

This is probably the first time anyone ever asked me about Smorey, ha ha.

Smorey was sort of an in world joke character for those times I was being tongue in cheek. He was a character in the AG world much in the sense that Barney the Dinosaur would be one in ours. I think Nell's backstory even had her performing for a Smorey themed ice skating show. He was also a children's toy of semi-lifelike qualities (think Hobbes). Most other times he was simply a silly 4th wall breaking character. I used him more often when I took making AG less seriously.

I stopped using Smorey after a failed contest, actually. Basically, I had some 20 appearances of Smorey in the comic at the time and I challenged readers to find as many appearances of him as they could, kind of like a Where's Waldo thing. The prize for finding the most appearances by Smorey was free art. No joke, literally no one participated. After that, I think that's around when I downplayed any further appearances by Smorey.

Stumbled upon this from one of those comic aggregator sites, and I was pleasantly surprised to see something from when I used to browse Drunk Duck regularly. Definitely glad to finally read the rest of it (Though what happened to Smorey?)

Hey all, if any of my AG readers are still around but aren't aware, I just wanted to provide a link to Arachnid Goddess' sequel. It takes place in the future of this story with new characters and deals with what happened to the world after Ahab's adventures. It's being done in more of a story book format, too. Additionally, it's designed in a way that one doesn't need to know too much from the original AG to enjoy it.

Hey folks, I didn't expect to update this particular comic again with content, but 40.oz, creator of Once Stung, was nice enough to do some awesome fan art of Ahab and Sina! How could I not share? Enjoy! And while you're at it, check at 40.oz's comic at the link below!
