We're back with another one of them block rocking beats, I mean absurdist one-pagers with more than a slight nod to Kamagurka & Herr Seele's Cowboy Henk.
Left on The Baron tries on a new style

Yes, those are wolfmen helping him install art in his castle.
Left on The Baron is an art lover. Yes, you read that correctly.

Hey, it's new material that hasn't been published online before! The Barony Papers is a series of one-pagers from 2012 and later showing scenes from the Baron von Fieffelfalsfaffel's everyday life. I don't know yet how many Geir and Daniel made. Possibly up to a dozen but I've got five finished pages in my possession.
These will be getting a very light editing touch from me: all I do is crop, adjust levels and shrink to the final format. Everything else will be as-is with no grammar corrections or other editorial input. These are best with their original raw feel intact.
Left on The Baron is restless...

Daniel drew these pages in 1998 and they were scanned for publication in 2005 when they were run on the Webcomicsnation hub for Chronicles of the Witch Queen. Other than contrast adjustments, no alterations have been made for the web; this means we have to run them a little larger so that everyone can read the lettering.

This will be the first of a series of solo comics by Daniel, some of which will feature the Baron von Fieffelfalsfaffel as the main character, and some of which will be rather surreal and only tenuously connected to the main events of Chronicles of the Witch Queen. They have to get a permanent online home somewhere and this site is still the best place for them.

Daniel also did a series of comics based on scripts by Anne-Kristin Mathiesen, shown here in the comic; she was writing crime fiction and poetry at the time, which Daniel illustrated. More recently, he has worked with Geir on a storyline in the Belle series, which originally had art by Jeroen Jager. He did some solo comics that had no connection to COTWQ. None of these have an online home at this time, as far as I know.
