That's a wrap! We're taking a short break but will be back on August 18 with The Young Baron by Geir Strøm and Daniel Østvold!

You have done an incredible job of coloring. Good work. Although I still enjoy your black & white stuff.
Left on Kel enjoys a rest until the poofst interrupts her.

When I last presented this storyline over on the Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan main site ten years ago, I wrote this:

I wasn't too happy with Courtly Manners 2. Back when it ran, in May of 2005, I was tired of the series in general after the mammoth The Rite of Serfdom storyline. I was struggling to make schedule, and if I recall correctly, I was struggling to meet my other commitments. Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan had been nominated for a Clickie award at the first Clickburg convention, a Dutch convention dedicated to webcomics, and I was invited to speak there. I didn't get a whole lot of joy out of these things, because they happened right in the middle of a period when I was feeling down on my output and was in fact not producing the quality that I was aiming for. The attention that the nomination got me was largely wasted because it put this sub-par output in the spotlight, over storylines that I thought were better. It was, in short, not a good time for me and it shows.
It was for this reason that when I moved the website over to a new CMS and a new host, Courtly Manners 2 got quietly buried. Three and a half years on, though, I can be a little bit kinder towards it - for what it is, a slapstick romp, it's mostly OK. There are some good verbal moments and it's as funny as anything else with the Baron von Fieffelfalsfaffel in it. So, er... here it is.

So I was working under time constraints while feeling down on myself. This remaster was brought to you under worse conditions; most of the pages were reworked lightly, over stolen blocks of time not exceeding 15 minutes. I wouldn't have been able to do do anything more labor-intensive even if I hadn't been in the grip of an overwhelming sense of frustration and futility. And then, in the middle of June of 2018, things started to happen. An unexpected compliment here, some recognition from old-time fans there, some sign that I was still remembered. And of course the discovery that 8 of the original master files had never been copied off the computer that I had used to work on them. To create these new, larger images, I would have to rescan and recolor pages 22-29.
OK. That woke me up from my funk. I did the work in three days at the start of a long vacation from work, and while all the new web files are a bit crisper, it's most noticeable in the final 8. I took the liberty to redraw one panel that had bothered me all these years, and make minor corrections to all the others. It's starting to look decent. Geir's writing, of course, holds up really well.

So on the planet Python, they got the Python Hills. Presumably also a Python Plains, Python Rainforest, Python Ocean and Python Desert.

As mentioned in the previous page, "Python" stands for the planet Python. "Andromeda", on the other hand, is not a planet, but the name of the queen of the planet Python. Confused? Just roll with it.
