Gregg Land stuff? You mean tracing? I use reference, as everyone does and admits if they're honest, as everyone in the industry does and unfortunately a percentage of admits to. I don't trace as tracing without building fundamental skills first makes for a world of limitations on your work. Tracing is not cheating though, it's the standard of the industry. Gregg Land for some odd reason has been singled out as a "tracer" and therefore a "cheater". Fans with no knowledge of professional comic book artists and the greatest painters like da vinci have all traced. In fact every professional in comics, most every graphic artist traces their work and there are no exceptions. My technique comes from books by andrew loomis primarily. I agree with you partly Double R. I need to work on everything, but you haven't got proportion and anatomy down pat either and need to do the same.I like your work, but I can't give correct advice to you on what you need to do any more than you can to me. At the very least in regard to what our strong and weak points are and what we need to emphasize on improving in.

Thank you, Chris-tar, I'm no different from you, and I still have a long way to go with everything. I can't afford the schools either so I download for free whatever how to draw books I can find, watch any comic related tutorials, anatomy & physiology, & just a lot of hours each day to practice. Andrew Loomis books helped me the most, especially figure drawing, and they're all free. If you gotta have the book in hand instead of pdf, a generic or used copy you can buy for as low as $10 on ebay. https://www.alexhays.com/loomis/

I see an amazing difference in artistic quality since the beginning of this comic until now. Amazing job job improving. I too have a long way to go with my skills. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't afford to go into debt by a quarter of a million dollars at some fancy four year art college or university in order to learn all the inside secrets, so I have to teach myself.
