Webcomic description

One comic is not enough to contain all the stories for Heroes of the World and Beyond! HOTWAB Universe is a supplement or sister comic that will be used to display all the additional stories created for HOTWAB outside of the main comic.

Shane is a self taught artist who has loved comic book art since he can remember. He is the sole creator of HOTWAB and enjoys the whole process of comic making, except the flats. They can do one! Shane has previously attempted small press and webcomics in the past, the most popular one being Go-Bee. Outside of the webcomic world, Shane is an autistic nerdaholic, and enjoys heavy metal, science fiction, classic TV and gaming. He'll probably live and die in his home town of Newcastle Upon Tyne where he lives in a pokey flat near a noisy motorway.

Fave artists: Dale Keown, Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Kelley Jones, José Luis García-López, Simon Bisley, Erik Larson, Jack Kirby

Tangled Web continues the story of where "Nano Theft" left off. I updated Go-Bee's outfit to something I'm vaguely happy with.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge fan of Spider-Woman, she's always seemed to me like an outsider trying to fit in, and it tugs on my own experiences as a person with autism and also being gay. I created Damoizelle a few years ago to fit in to that mould, but her character took off in other directions and I wanted an OC that spoke to me as Spider-Woman did. So, Vespra came about, someone who taps in to a drag persona to find her strength to take the fight to the bad guys. After hearing a lot of the stories told by the queens on Drag Race, I considered that some who feel the need to unleash this part of themselves really find it something that jolts them out of what they perceive as a banal or sometimes painful existence, due to external and internal hate. I thought it would make for a fascinating character. The wasp theme is just because I'm a big insect fan!

Welcome to HOTWAB's first crossover! I'm so happy that I was able to do this with Nite Stick, one of the funniest webcomics I've ever read!

The story is part of a larger arch which starts in Nite Stick Issue 8 where the titular hero goes on an interdimensional adventure through various superhero webcomic universes. Such fun!
