Amelia Pessoa signs as Amelia Woo in the U.S. comic book industry, because she had an immense pretentious to create Manga in her earlier career. Happily, she embraces all kinds of comic books, making them her main narrative media object of interest. It’s been more than a decade since she devotes her efforts as a professional in the comic book industry, working actively for U.S. publishers as Marvel, Dynamite, Radical Comics, Kymera Press, Trepidation Comics, Dark Horse, etc. Now, she is launching her own first Graphic Novel and a little short-game-3D-single-player-third-person-adventure-shooter-comicbook pulp noir-game. The game and this comic book are based on Kings Club. Kings Club universe is being developed since 2008. And... she is talking in third person about herself...

What a twist!! I love it when there's a bigger plot than the one I'm seeing.

Right after I had written the short comment I thought "Who or better, what kind of group, could potentially want to destroy an organization like the the King's Club?" Most likely candidates, generally spoken: State, police, military, because the King's Club could create a disturbance. Small Organization like mafia clans would IMHO rather benefit from the Club's existence, sure it bears a risk, but the possibility to hire them should outweigh that. Next, what group had executed plans that span very long time frames? The church maybe? But I can't see what the (christian) church (or should I specifically name 'em: Opus Dei), could benefit from destroying the King's Club, since Opus Dei is (AFAIK) not involved in war business of a size that they might need to go against the Kings Club *handwave* I might be wrong here, but I believe that Opus would rather benefit from the existence of the King's Club then not, so them being is IMHO unlikely. Now according to Sherlock Holmes, "Rule out the impossible, what's left, as unlike as it may appear, must be the truth." Or so. Sadly, I can't rule out any of these four groups. State, police and military have good reasons to eliminate the Club, but they have (AFAIK) never executed plans that involve such lung times: Very unlikely, but not impossible. The church has (AFAIK) executed plans that span at least several decades but they have (IMHO) no good reason to eliminate the Club, thus, also unlikely, but not impossible. Then, Rome. That could fit to all 4 candidates and doesn't help. So far I can't deduce who is the Club's opponent. Maybe someone else can.

But the Gambinis: Mafia (fighter) training, the legend of the islands, Andy t-torturing *shiver* the children of another family (I won't count Cyrenna killing about 10 men in a few minutes, that was self-defense or near enough.) - they are criminals, of the worst kind. That should rule out all 4 groups. Who else? Secret agencies like CIA and KGB, but they should be outright unable to execute a plan that spans several decades and they have no reason to do it.

Something else that also doesn't add up is the attack pattern: Someone hires a Card to kill Cyrenna, then the Gambinis hire two Cards to help them, and now the King's Club is "the true enemy"? Would the Gambini family sacrifice Cyrenna to set all this in motion? And they have only two cards plus some support from the Club. Rather thin to find a handle against the Club, methinks.

And then the Joker. If it's not Cyrenna, then it must be Andy. Nobody else has shown any ability that would justify considering 'em as a Joker.

Right now I have no clue about what's going on.

"But don't you hate when a story explains too much?" - It depends... (I'm running out of time, maybe more tomorrow.)

Yup :) one of the stories I wrote about the KC founders are with them in a freedom fighter Mexican story (1892), with a lot of US mercenaries who came from civil war.
