Webcomic description

Pronunciation: She-bahl-bah

Just as a fair warning, the story gets pretty intense at times and will touch on some things that make a lot of people very uncomfortable. If you stay with me through this whole journey, you will probably hate me before it's over. Seriously, this is not a story for children, fragile adults or cuddly tapirs.

That having been said:

To the Maya, the underworld, Xibalba (Literal translation: The Place of Fear) was a very real place. You could walk there if you were brave enough and strong enough for the journey. When you got there you would play a deadly ball game for the chance to win eternal life and glory. If you lost... well, it's best not to dwell on the thought of losing.

It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Will you take it?

Writer, cosplayer, insomniac and, I guess... now I'm an artist too. Didn't really plan on that last one. But, nobody's going to draw these things for me.

Falling in the river of scorpions would produce a most unpleasant sensation.

I cannot tell how close the tree is to the scorpions or whether they could jump at him but would it not be better to just hug the tree while lying and slowly move forward?
Or maybe at least on all fours. Hm.
