“It is clear now”
Thank you for the explanation Mr. Skorpen, now I understand Chapter 25 which features the Grand Orrery. It was more than a clockwork type machine, because it also featured in a physical detail how the universe works or in this case, how the six planets of the Solar System functions or rotate around the sun. Such a fascinating concept. Thank you for explaining it Mr. Skorpen.

It's like this: in the world of Æthernaut, only archaic science is true. Therefore, there is no such thing as gravity. So all the planets are held in place by a physical framework, an actual size orrery. I haven't done a great job of depicting it so far, but it will come into play more directly... eventually....
“Here for the long haul”
I am glad to be along this ride of your Mr. Skorpen, till the end. I have a question thou, In panel three we have the earth in the backdrop of space, but what is that long glowing pole that seems to pierce the earth's North Pole and terminating in the South Pole region. Is this part of ancient cosmology in this alternate earth?

indeed, glad you're riding along!

That's an interesting theory.
I won't comment further, except to say, readers looking at my pages and filling in the blanks as they see fit is my best case scenario...
