Webcomic description

Don't Keep the Devil Waiting is our take on the Five Nights at Freddy's timeline and lore. It's the story of a family (the Aftons) and how loss, corruption, and murder have shaped their lives. We upload once a week on Monday's.

We are a mother/daughter team who loves Five Nights at Freddy's so much that we just had to start a comic (if for no other reason than to figure out the lore, the timeline, and put our theories out into the world). Debra (mom) writer, layout, lettering, theorist. Lydia (daughter) comic artist, graphic designer, lore keeper, theorist.

I only have myself to blame for the late posting of this comic. It was ready to go, and I didn't schedule it. Then I remembered yesterday, only to forget within minutes. It's been a rough couple of weeks around here because half of our family has been sick, and that's my only excuse.

The sad thing is, I was really excited about this comic coming out, so I'm deeply sorry if you came here on time to see that it wasn't here, and I hope you find this. I truly, truly apologize.

Anyway, I totally did not intend to name the comic after the meme song. I was just referencing the fact that Baby is hiding from the cameras, but then I Googled Hide and Seek lyrics, and realized that the song by Imogen Heap has been used in so many of my favorite Vines and then listening to the entire song, it really fits Circus Baby, so serendipity!

It seems Michael is under more surveillance than he realizes, but maybe he is too tired to notice.

Anyway, the title is what you get if you speed up the garbled sound and adjust the pitch. But what does it mean?

Looks like there's a storm outside Michael's window. ;)

Angsty teen? What are the other choices? Existential ennui?

Anyway, night two is the only night that you hear these footsteps. We have our interpretation. Who do you think it is?

Something tells me that these tiny animatronics are as bad as they come. And poor Lewis is just trying to do his job with as much enthusiasm as possible. It's not his fault that he loves these animatronics and has an interest in those who made them.

Anyway, it's late, and we've spent the last 3 days celebrating my oldest son's birthday. He turned 12 on Halloween, but he had the flu, so we didn't get to celebrate on his birthday. I'm exhausted and can't think of anything to say. I hope you all enjoyed Halloween, if you celebrate it. We spent the day at home with two sick boys, but everyone is better now.

On a positive note, I found a Five Night's at Freddy's coloring book put out by Crayola, so that's a thing.

Enjoy your week. We'll see you next Monday.
