I've gone by many names online and have been a veteran in communities for over nine years, now, but here I am to stay.

Originally, I came here because I used Flikr, with the same name before a slight change. It's where I normally had my webcomics. It was adequate for my needs at the time, but it has certain restrictions. Having 4 (at the time) webcomics, I thought it best to try and expand to other sites.

I do my webcomics purely for my own enjoyment, so I don't care about how low the quality is (mostly). I don't mind if people don't like it. But, hey, if others can learn to enjoy it, that'd certainly make me one happy writer. :)

Also, yes. I am THE Ranger. Living legend. Effectively a grandmother of CF.

(Current project: Red Hood Rider.)

For the bad-handwriting-reading-impared, along with a larger version of the comic, here is the transcript:
Childhood (old house);
Mother's life:
Mother
Mother: "Hmm, hm, hm, hmm..."
*Doing motherly things*

Me (distantly): "AAAAAAAAH!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
*sproing*
RED ALERT
RED ALERT

SCREAMING CHILD DETECTED

ACTIVATING SUPERSPEED

...I still think this is an accurate artist's depiction of how things went down.

I don't know what my mom was doing before this started (maybe something like starting dinner?), but I DO know that she responded by sprinting out once she heard her child screaming and three siblings also clearly reacting with panic.

So as things played out, after I tossed aside the sled and screamed my head off, I ran directly towards my siblings who wanted to know what the problem was and I was too panicked to think of a solution so I needed them to think of one for me.

I don't remember who made the "ants can't swim!" comment, but I remember the instructions to go into the kiddie pool--I did, by standing in it, because there wasn't enough water in it for me to actually roll around in. (I might have tried, and failed.)

I also don't remember who went to get the hose, but it wasn't my brother, because my brother had the genius idea of,
"Ants can't swim-->Ants must not like the water-->I have a squirt gun in hand-->Squirt guns have water in them-->Squirting B will get the ants off".

He really did try to help.

Try.

ANYWAY.
For the bad-handwriting-reading-impared, along with a larger version of the comic, here is the transcript:
Childhood (old house):
Me: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
*still flailing*
*still ANTS* *Biting still*
Sibling: "B, what is it?"

*bawling*
Sibling: "Quick, ants can't swim! Use the kiddie pool!"
Other sibling: "There's not enough water!"
Big brother: "I know!!!"

Big brother: "Hold still."
*grimace*
*squirt* *squirt*
"I'll get the hose!"

*Biting Intensifies*
Me: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Brother: "It's not working!
I need to squirt more!"

By the way, B is the compromise name I'm using between "technically accurate" and "choice name". My legal name is not Brianna, nor is my nickname Bree something my family knows about, but I don't want to use my legal name because it's my dead name. B is a mid-ground between the two, so it's what I'll be using throughout the comic.

"What every mother should be!"
How I imagine my mom was back in the prime of her mothering days, when I was still a child.

"Epic fail"
As it turns out, ants don't in fact like getting wet!

Their response to getting wet is to bite harder!

Indeed! I love them very much. The warmth of a glove, protection from the cold, and yet the free range of movement for dexterity, allowing me to wear them full-time.

Plus Ruby has them and she looks cooler with them and I thought I'd mimic her. :P
