Comic description

Mythos is a web comic about the fictitious older son of Prince Hector, as he operates following the fall of the city of Troy to seek revenge on the Greeks. Consider this a spiritual sequel to Eric Shanower's "Age of Bronze."

Handling comics before I could read. Now I waste hours of my life collecting and reading them. I also have a few stories to tell, but I don't really think anyone wants to read them, but hey; isn't that what the internet is for?

Here! Go look at my occasional sketches and progress.

So the crowing achievement. I was so proud of this page. It looked very basic with just the inks, but the colorist knocked it out of the park. However, the beauty of all of this? I literally wrote in my proposal, "there is no need for me to explain the story, I'll let it speak for itself within the pages." Could I have been any dumber or more naive? Even after planning the complete story for years, I'm not so sure it's good enough to be published, hence why I upload it here. Next week, I'm hoping Mythos Issue 2 will have something up.

Page 4. There was a little bit more of a color dynamic on this page, but overall, I see many different ways that this could have been improved.

Page 3 of my initial proposal. I don't really have much to say, mostly because it's a giant close up of Lavidicus. However, the colorist did a phenomenal job with all of the rain in the page. But hey, the bridge is historically accurate, as it was the Romans that perfected the arch, and even then they weren't very prominent until after the Greek Dark Ages.

Sorry for the few weeks off. Got a lot going on, and sometimes my work schedule isn't very fair to me, but hey, I gotta work. So, here is page 2 of the initial proposal, and I'm working on scripting out the actual issue 2; I have the prose for the story finished, I just have to lay it out panel by panel now. The good news is, I can start some work on the pages themselves, as I have some written. I also have a really good cover idea that's inspired slightly by the Anakin/Dooku fight.

This is the proposal that I shipped out to Image back in 2011. I paid someone to color it for me, and initially, I wasn't a fan. Over the years though, the style and choices have grown on me, but I think my dissatisfaction was solely based on the way he chose to color Lavidicus on the first page. I think it makes him look like a zombie, but towards the end of the proposal, it's legit. Enjoy.
