Comic description

Sixteen-year-old Sarah discovers that she was born with a mission: to raise the Dream Child, a little girl named Abigail with mysterious powers destined to change the world. With her allies, the Sunrays, Sarah must care for and nurture Abigail while protecting her from the forces of evil who seek to derail the coming era of peace.

I'm an Anglican priest and I love to write, draw, and make things. I've been drawing manga for twenty years, am entirely self-taught, and have a lot to learn.

The red willow (cornus sericea) is used by the Ojibwe to make smoking mixtures. They are a traditional offering of respect to elders and healers. Miriam, of course, admits her lack of knowledge of local plant life by bringing cigarettes instead.

For interest's sake: Ruth's family live in Muncey, about an hour and a half's drive away from the fictional Thornapple Grove where Sarah and the others live (I've set that near Kitchener, Ontario). Muncey is home to several First Nations, including the Anishnaabe (Ojibwe), which is why I have Phyllis's house there.

So glad you've read so far! There will be no comic posted on Good Friday. <3 Regular posting will resume Easter Monday. Phyllis has been through more than enough shit in her life.
