I've always dabbled in art and reading comics. Since I'm not getting any younger, I decided it was time to put up or shut up. I consider myself more of a cartoonist. A few of my notable influences are Will Eisner, R. Crumb, Elzie Crisler Segar (Popeye the Sailor creator), James Dean Smith (creator of my all time favorite comic, Boris the Bear) and the many artist and writers that worked on Looney Toons.

It's a new page! One that I've been working on for far longer than I care to admit. I'm going to finish this damn comic. It's part of a broad, multifaceted New Years resolution.

Since it's been awhile, I strongly suggest reading at least the last two or three pages to refresh yourselves on why satellites are blasting (and being blasted) high above the planet. You may also be interested in the blue furry critter going by the name Hyde. Mr. Hyde is the Director of Wyverntooth Innovations Advanced Meta-Physics Research and Development Department. He is a type of hobgoblin that chose to make a life for himself in the human world. He has degrees in numerous advanced sciences and engineering. He was hand picked by Xerxes Wyverntooth to head the R&D department, and Project Fire Tower, because of his understanding of both technology and the metaphysical. Despite being a magical creature from another dimension, Hyde has adjusted well. He's married with 2 children, drives an SUV, and obsesses greatly over his work, coffee, lawn, and thermostat.

I don't have a buffer of pages for the comic, but I plan to update, fingers-crossed, at least twice a month. I hope you enjoy and continue to stick with me. I'l try not to disappoint. As always, thank you for your readership and support. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below.

I need to finish the cast page so readers can get a better understanding of Felix Grey. The short version: he's and alien that came to Earth in the 1960's. He landed in the US because it just happened to be the most convenient place to crash his ship at the time. After months of negotiating, he was granted US citizenship and "incentives" to stay in America. The INS needed a name for his citizenship papers and social security. He chose Felix and his last name was selected as a joke by the agent because he resembled the typical Grey alien. His role is indeed a major part of the SDMW story, especially when we get closer to the end game. As for Fire Tower, it's true nature will be revealed in the pages to follow.

Mr. Grey... I geddit. Why do I get the feeling that the events going on have alot more far reaching implications than it somehow seemed earlier.

Gorgeous page, by the way, but that is more or less just standard procedure with you.

Kind of curious what exactly Fire Tower does.
"Orbital Communications Hub"... Get the feeling there's more to it.

The first panel went through so many revisions. I try to make these new pages print ready to save time when/if it comes time to print. I'm using the webcomic to test what works, in both the art and story, and change what doesn't. Thanks for your feedback. It really helps. I'll use your suggestion for Felix's balloons on the next page.
