Comic description

Married gamers Lizzy & Clyde are trapped inside video games! But they're mostly okay with that, because they do get the occasional weekend and holiday off.
New strips every Tuesday and Friday!

Quick Review:

To me, Jade Empire ushered in the era of modern action-RPGs. An outstanding game in all respects (when it was released; the last time I played it, far too long ago.) it was absolutely one of the top 5 games of the original Xbox generation.

Incredible depth, a fun, fluid combat system, a new standard of voice acting in games, and a true sense of Asian history and culture that is lacking (despite the large number of games originating from that part of the world) adds up to a game that will always hold a place in my heart.

Why don't they make a sequel already?!?

Why don't they at least put out a HD port of the original game??

At this point, I'd even be happy if they just teased us with a trailer for a Jade Empire sequel that may never come to be. P.S. Ubisoft, for God's sake, finish Beyond Good And Evil 2 already!

Quick Review:
Bioshock Infinite provides a fascinating narrative ride with exciting powers and marvelous characters, hindered only by its franchise roots.

Songbird reminds me of a project I made in middle school, the one year they dared to make all kids take wood shop. I tried to make a wood carving that looked like a bird, but my mom thought it was an appendix, mid-explosion. I didn't have the heart to tell her what it really was. It still hangs on her living room wall.

I'm thinking about installing some skyrails in our house. It'd make traversing the boring hallway that much more exciting.

I'm pretty disappointed in the amount of Songbird in that is in the game. Less is more is not the case here. I wanted more-more. Maybe he'll make an appearance on Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, with his Big Daddy cousin. Not that anyone would really notice.

Lizzy... Elizabeth... Hmm. Even the hair is pretty darn similar. It's like they're the same person!!

Did my husband just say how he's having trouble differentiating me from a video game character? Somebody needs a good old fashioned smack in the head.

Okay... Bioshock's Elizabeth isn't so grumpy.

After finishing Infinite, I feel the need to go back and replay the original Bioshock, to see if there's any hints of the sequel hidden in the game (although if there are, I couldn't be convinced they weren't recently patched in).

Quick Review:

Numerous glitches & server issues, along with a lack of character customization options, hamper an otherwise simple, yet fun online shooter.

I have to call B.S. on those people on Twitter claiming they played 30 hours straight during launch week. 30 minutes straight... eh, possibly.

Those ATVs are such fun to drive around. I haven't driven one in real like, so I'm not sure the physics are exactly what I'd call "normal". Do you really bounce 20 feet straight up when you collide with something?

I'm not into MMOs because I like significant story progression in my video games. You can't have a map-altering event like in Borderlands 2 in an MMO because the world has to stay consistent for everyone playing at different points of the game. And that's a dull situation to play around in.

Quick Review:

Forza Horizon is a super fun arcade-style racing game, where it actually just feels great to drive leisurely around open map. It's quite a departure from the closed-off feeling of the main Forza games. Perhaps too much difference for the series fans to appreciate. But outsiders like myself should find it a juicy treat.

I keep telling Clyde that red is the fastest color for a car. He still fails to learn.

Please tell Lizzy car speed is not about science, it's about faith. And I believe in green. And sometimes blue.

This may be the shortest racing game I've ever played. I played it for 15 hours, including multiplayer games, and a lot of just driving around. There were a lot more races to do once I finished the main game, so you can get as much as you want from the game, without it forcing itself on you. This is what a casual gaming experience should be.
