...aaaaand we're back. Again. At last.
Many thanks and a shout-out to the lovely Kin, who helped me tweak this page, and pushed me to get my rear in gear and back to work.

Hope you all have a delightful holiday, be it Christmas, Chanukah, Solstice, Or some combination of all three. I'll be back after the holidays with more pages for you.

As I'm sure you can tell, this is the first non-hand-lettered page. Still getting the hang of this newfangled futuristic compu-text, but I'll get the hang of it.

It sort of makes me cringe that the first thing new readers will see is a page using old art. It’s like…get out of here, grandpa-lineart. You old. I tried to pretty it up as best I could, but I think that it’s time to let go and move on.

At least we FINALLY get the full dish on everyone’s names, now. Well, with the exception of Mitch, but who cares. I was way tired of referring to Frayne as “Horticus.” Also: more like “dorkbane,” amirite?

Webcomics Weekend, by the way, was a fantastic experience. It gave me the chance to meet so many awesome people. I’ll try to do some shoutouts later, but for now, I SLUMBER.

Awwwww Yisss.

Originally, they were going to use a plasma cutter to sever the chain, but if the internet has taught me two lessons, it’s this:

1) Kitties are 100% cute, all of the time, and
2) plasma cutters, while awesome, are not very iconic.

I worried that a plasma device would not be easily recognizable, and that’s how we ended up with a ridiculous little buzz-saw contraption.

I apologize for both the iffy quality of art and the long wait on this page. This one literally seemed to fight me every step of the way. It was the page that just didn’t want to happen. Nightmare.

In case anyone’s wondering, Leech does in fact have her own incident card, and there is indeed a reason why she won’t use it.

Speaking of changing the subject, I saw the last Harry Potter film this weekend. I was never a huge potter fan (enjoy everything about the books except the main character, really), but the last book won me over, and I’ve really loved these last two films. I’m curious, though – has Malfoy’s mom always had the two-tone Leech hair? Because I found that kind of amusing. (I think I’ve mentioned it before, but Leech’s look was inspired by an actual woman I saw with that exact hairstyle. It was pure black and white, and pulled back in a ponytail, just like Leech had hers in the prologue.)

SECRET PS: See you at the con!
