Sorta back from hiatus. During my absence, I took up light box photography. A light box basically turns anything you put into it into a really nice photo. So I took pictures of rocks. *spoiled for size
Are 3D / pre-made assets comics allowed on this thread? Here is the cover page of Chapter 3 in the "spoiler version" of House of C.A.R.D.S. -- meaning it is ahead of my other original comic with the same script.
As long as it's your latest page and follow the rules of commenting on the one above you, then why wouldn't it be allowed here? Also you are not the only one who uses existing things to make their comic and I've seen other ones posted on here soo....yeah shouldn't be a problem at all :D
I really like the style of the cover. The silhouettes are clean and stand out nicely and gives a nice, kind of ominous feel to the cover. I like it!
Oh wow that's bad. I don't have one, but my BF does and he waited six hours to get his at a midnight release. So far no problems and he even let me play Zelda for a bit. Seems to be working alright and it's pretty dang cool!
However this is to be expected...let me explain. No game system release is going to go off without a hitch!
I waited to get the original Wii system because the first ones were plagued with horrible problems. I get it, people want the latest and greatest systems and games, but buying something as soon as it comes out?...you got to expect some problems ESPECIALLY from a game company that is known to have stuff like this happen in the past on numerous occasions.
To me, buying a new thing right when it comes out is a gamble. You could be like my BF who scored a perfectly functioning system...or be like any of those people in the video who weren't so lucky. If you get a bad one, not your fault, that's something that Nintendo should take care of, but I really just recommend waiting on something like this. Then again, I'm not the kind of person who HAS to play the latest games or has a mighty need to go out and throw $300 at a fancy new system. I can wait for the glitches to blow over before I decide to purchase one. Not going to deal with the possible frustrations of a brand new system that just won't work.
As for Nintendo, MAYBE they could try to test these things out a little more? Or maybe this is a manufacturing issue and not a common problem with all units? Like some units didn't get assembled correctly or some of the software got corrupted during download? Whatever the issue, the company will gather all they need and fix them like they did in the past. It's just one of those things that happen with a new system release...as bad as that sounds, it's expected.
When the Switch functions it's really quite nice! I've only held and played on one for about an hour so I can't say a heck of a lot, but the controls are super sensitive, feels good in your hand, and it's just fun to use period! I'll get mine later when all the problems kind of blow over. By then the price should drop too!
I think it all depends on delivery. In Back to the Future, it was kind of a tense moment when the title was dropped. It was fitting, and not the least bit cheesy. A recent example of this was in Rogue One. That was a GREAT delivery of a title drop!
I plan on making a title drop moment in my comic as well. I think in order to avoid cheese it to build up to it a little and wait for the perfect moment to put in there. The title of your story has some meaning behind it and it's important. Give it the moment it deserves!
Chapter 4 is sort of a filler arc because: no spork in sight. Ian Quach is heading towards an arena and getting directions from a talking tree. Now some band groupies are creating missing persons signs and are caught by the quarterback because the tight end is on the missing persons list.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Interesting! I like the dialog and your faces (I always like nice expressions and faces). Your writing is easy to read, but some of the panels are hard to interpret what is going on (the second and third panels in particular). May I make a little suggestion about page size? I can't say the large size forces a visitor to read it as you suggested. If anything, that's a major turn-off for most readers because it makes the page hard to read. I recommend taking a minute to resize large pages so they fit most screens. It makes readers happy and if they're happy, they will tend to stick around and read your story.
Here's another Color Sunday, where Pierre and Chardelli are discussing the concept of self-rule. (They live in a time period where this wasn't really a thing yet.) Chardelli likes the idea of self-governing, but Pierre thinks it would just be a mess. After witnessing this election year, I wonder if he has a point.
And we DID mess things up for ourselves this year...woops :| I really like your art style and sense of humor on this page. I kind of enjoy humor that is sadly very true :p

I really like the shading on their faces and their expressions! It gives the page a nice dramatic feel! I also like your speech bubble placement. It's easy to read and flows really nicely without cluttering the page.
In Sister Sister...well let's just say "bring on the nightmares"! Again, if you don't like anything bleeding from the eyes or nose, you may not want to read this page. Just giving you a heads up because my comic has some horror themes and contains some unsettling/scary imagery.
