holy shit I made my first piece of fourm-specific artwork exactly a year ago where does the time go

a few hours ago I realized that my example shows off the lineart for my next strip in its entirety in the navigator

thankfully it's small enough that nobody can actually tell what's really going on

I'm like 90% sure this thread's been done to death, buuuuuuuuuuut I specifically remember the "Show Off Your Desktop" thread from a few months back and suddenly thought "Well, people customize their art programs depending on their workflow, why not show that off?"

So I ask of you, ComicFury, if you do digital art, what does your program setup look like?

(Oh yeah I should probably explain all this, it was late when I originally posted this thread and I couldn't think)
I'm more or less using the default CSP layout, I think the biggest difference is that I've popped the Sub View out into its own window because keeping it at the top of the right column with the Navigator made it really tiny. I've also rearranged the top toolbar a bit, taking out or moving some stuff that was more annoying than useful, and adding the Duplicate Layer, Horizontal Flip, and Pick Screen Color icons (Horizontal Flip and Pick Screen Color in particular are super valuable to have up there). I've also made a handful of custom brushes (which are almost all stuff I took from Sketchbook) and I've created individual color palates for all 13 of my main cast members (and Anna, mostly for OCT purposes).

Oh god yeah, I get that. It's mostly for my supporters, since I don't have the muscle memory for them like I have for, say, Lissa or Alex, but like, I basically need a ref open whenever I'm drawing, like, Sage's hair or Kaiden's mowhawky bit because there's a very exact nature to them.

Hell, even with Lissa sometimes I gotta reorient myself as to whether her neutral front-facing view curves her ponytail to the left or to the right (for the record, my most recent drawings of her curve it over to the right, but it has a sneaky habit of switching sides sometimes).

I know I'm doing something right if I'm aggressively "aww"-ing while drawing

I had a massive breakthrough for Arc 9's plot last night, finally being able to fully connect (and, who knows, possibly resolve) a few major unresolved elements of Arc 8 (like, uh, a very specific relationship). Shit's gonna be juicy...
