Kyo: Is that a thing you can do? Just like, pay once with it?

It's not an explicit feature but you can be a Patreon for one month and then cancel if that's what you want to do.

I think Patreon is the way to go. At least that way I can say I have hosting costs and sound like I know what I'm doing with my life.

I remember that one, Gordon left the sponge dry to make his death as painful as possible.

What I miss from Superhero comics is a lack of subtly and allegory in their social commentary. It's all too on the nose these days. The X-Men were meant to be representative of the Civil rights movement and the Brotherhood of mutants representative of the separative side but it was adapted, with no problem to also be an allegory for homosexuality. It wasn't forced down your throat (most of the time).

These days the villains of female and gay heroes just loudly declare that they hate woman and (slur)s before getting beaten. And if Red Skull's most diabolical scheme is to get elected on the current president's platform then he's taken quite a few steps back. (Though does say something about about his policies...)

I however suspect you won't plan to do heavy themes, at least not at first.

In broader terms, I don't like how there's massive amounts of continuity that you have to keep up with but that's less an issue for webcomics as all the relevant material is collected in one place.

And one final thing that annoys me, characters that get mad when secrets are kept from them, only to hide secrets themselves. It's like the CW only knows how to write hypocrites.

I got a thread on Bad Webcomics but only really scathing thing they had to say was "Manly Guys Doing Manly things rippoff".

If that's the wort they had to say *shrug*.

Oh an that time I got into a fight on Kotaku's weekly webcomics with a guy who had a bee in his bonnet about me posting there. They long since banned you from doing that.

Seems like job offers are like babies in TV Shows. They only happen when you don't want them.

I had so many intern puns for the title I could barely chose.

I should totally put up a funding campaign for The Coffee Hose on Indiegogo.

WanderingJew:Unless it's things that are obviously frowned upon or not allowed in the site's TOS and upload policy, such as under aged/cub fetish stuff. Cub is just the fancy furry way of saying pedophilia/lolicon.

Just thought it went without saying. But, silly me, this is the internet.

Make sure if there's something you won't draw (like for example, vore) that you make it clear on the outset but present it in a "it's just not my thing/kink" way rather than a "y'all need Jesus" way.
Of course people have done much worse for money so...

One other thing could be to offer multiple levels like "doddle on napkin: $5" to "full drawing with shading and background: $(what non-art types thing is expensive but in reality is cutting it fine)" all the way up to "oil painting with frame: $15,000" so you'll cover all budgets. Everyone aims for the big commission but sometimes you'll get someone who just wants a lot of smaller pieces.

Of course, that's my general art commission experience as an outsider. I've not looked at furry pron (on purpose anyway) so things may be a bit different there.

monoushi:Looks like Theresa May is now trying to team up with the DUP in order to secure her place....um. Idk if there are any Irish users on here but, that sounds like a horrific idea. Like. Really bad.

Frankly it's the last one that makes sense. Labour would fight every single decision and the SNP have already butted heads with her administration a lot. As for Lib Dems, they're still reeling from the last time they got into be with the torries.

Uncertain times no matter how you slice it.

Did Theresa My want a hung parliament? I can't think of how this snap election could have turned out any other way.

This also has implications for Scotland too as the vast majority (read: all but 3) Scottish MPs (Not to be confused with MSPs) are SNP, making them the third largest part in the UK. If this changes it may impact any ideas of a second independence referendum.

Though it's kind of depressing that Labour and the Torries campaigns are based off "only I can beat the SNP candidate".

There's been another terror attack in London, a White Van mounted the pavement at London bridge and charged through the crowds before men with knifes and machetes leapt out and starter cutting down people. The attackers were shot dead but things are still unclear on the ground.

To all London Comic Furians and people with friends and family in London, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Yeah, if you want to change the world, write to the big companies and vote with your wallet, don't harass people who put stuff out on the internet for free.

Call out culture at work there.

harajuku_Smittle_:HEck yeaH

what about the Mako Mori test??

at least one female character;
who gets her own narrative arc;
that is not about supporting a man’s story.

Had lots of those. In fact, I can only think of two long arcs that have male as the focus, one who's equal to his female counterpart and another about someone deceased.
